thanks guys, yea the finger prints do show up quite well but they can be wiped off quite easily. also so build notes for you guys who are getting a MM case.
make sure if you are getting vertical motherboard what you have the bottom of the case facing the right way since the bottom brace can only fit one way.

Re:Looking at a Mountain Mods case 2010/02/07 10:51:10 (permalink)
to get the 10 pci slot you need to get the xl-atx tray then you can select the 10pci slot panel since you have the classified its worth it otherwise the bottom slot is useless except for a single slot card. as for rads i currently have a koolance 3x120mm that im going to use for cpu, mosfet and chipset. and the gpu i am in a tossup over the hwlabs blackice gtx 480 or the xspc 4x120mm, im also thinking of getting a 2x140mm blackice stealth to put on the front panel and have it as a midloop cooler for the final gpu
res-> pump-> 4x120mm rad-> gpu 1-> gpu 2-> 2x140mm-> gpu 3-> res

all of the rads are going to fit fine, the fan hole spacing for the triple quad panel is 15mm vertically for the 120mm fans, so any rad with 15mm fan spacing should work fine, which i think most rads are 15mm.

Looking good AJR. I'm glad I ordered the anodized aluminum version, cause I can't stand microscratches or the fingerprints.

Main Rig:
Intel i7 920 [C0] @ 3.82Ghz | EVGA X58 [759] Classified (64) | MM Extended Ascension w/ Pedestal | Corsair HX1050
24GB Patriot Viper II ‘Sector 7’ 2000mhz (9-11-9-27) @ 1.65v | 2x EVGA GTX480 (875/2000 @1.1v) | CPU, GPUs and Mobo on H2O

just order some more water cooling and fans stuff for the case i should be able to begin assembly either this weekend or next.
ended up getting a hwlabs black ice gtx 480 with 4 scythe kaze 3000 rpm and a black ice stealth 280 just for the gpus, also got some black and red primochill uv active hose, uv lighting, 10 x yate loon 1350 rpm, fan controller, swiftech 655 pump, and a few other things. can't wait to put this together too bad the gf100's aren't out yet but until then i guess that my cpu will be happy to run off of 3 rads
did you finally put your order in sinsear? and i want to see lats of pictures

Are the 3k RPM Scythe fans pretty loud? What are the dB's on them? Also, did you get a stock 655 or one with a custom top?

Yeah my order was put in last Thursday, but the anodized 10 PCI back panel was out of stock until this Tuesday, and they shipped it out on Wednesday. I used FedEx to ship it (more gentle with their packages than UPS), and it's due to come in this Saturday. I'm psyched.

the scythes are fairly loud at 3000 rpm i think it is around 42db but they move a ton of air, at 1600 their noticeable but granted im just running it outside my case right now once its inside it will be quieter. i just got a stock 655 from someone here on the forums

ok one question?... how did you modify your order? cuz they dont have that design on ther site....... cuz im planning on getting a ascension mirror black finish with 3 big window but i want the left side window all fiberglass with no metal

thats what i wanted to do with the left side also but they don't seem to offer the whole acrylic panel just the big window, you may contact them about it because the left, top and right add really no structural integrity to the case, if you want i can pm a pic of my order form. also the measurements of the big window are 15"(H) x 12"(W)

Edit: also are you looking at the pre built models or at the CYO versions with the CYO version you can customize almost everything
http://www.mountainmods.com/ascension-cyo-choose-your-own-p-483.html
also their is a flash picker that you can see what the case will look like
http://www.mountainmods.com/CYO_picker.php

They didnt let you get the Full Acrylic Window?  they did let me on mine......

its not that big of a deal to me that i didn't get the acrylic panel after getting the case im happy that i decided to get the big instead. although i wish i had gotten the horizontal motherboard tray but then i would have had to get the pedestal and spend even more cash.
