Yea, but that cooler I would think is supposed to be for the classifieds special clocks. I just am not into WC my cards anymore. CPU and mobo, yes, cards, nah. I tend to live with my mobo's and CPU these days for a long time. Also, CPU WB are easy and cheap to switch out. Graphics cards are a PITA.... and I am with you on the shroud, it is awesome looking.

Yup, np... Shall have more info and benchmarks as soon as I get my new Classified. And this is interesting that I just thought of ~ I'll have the rare chance of being in possession of 2 Classified GPUs this week when my Advanced RMA arrives. Even though my current one I don't think is performing properly, I may consider popping them both in and get some stock and slightly overclocked SLi benchmarks! Wanna make sure my new one is working first, so we'll see!

Klaus- In regards to Watercooling, it is great man. I never did it myself until recently and thought the same as you have and that is why I never did it before, but now that I have done it, it is so nice. It is really easy and as long as you take your time and do a good amount of leak testing, there really is no worries.

One other question and maybe I missed your post about it. Why are you getting a RMA Classy? I thought the issue you were having was with a non-properly flashed Evbot? Did something happen to the Classy card itself?

Yeah, still have it. Been using the Classified though since I'm trying to sell the FTW. It seems to be working well enough for the most part, and I've been experimenting with more OC with higher volts but still getting the same results.

one stupid question: do you need EVBot all the time connected to keep OC? or set and unplug?

Pretty sure just set and unplug. However if the drivers crash, the settings and voltages don't always remain up-to-par and the only way to fully reset them is to shut your PC down entirely for a moment then restart. Not a big deal for me, but could be for others...

Yeah, they could have gone the software route...or sell the EVBot for 1/4 the price. Definitely not made with high quality parts to justify the price. I bet this thing costs them all of about $10 to make.

With regard to the cost of the EVBOT, Jacob already explained why it is an expensive item in this or another thread. Secondly, you already knew that about it, but you ordered it anyway. Lastly try to cheer up and be grateful that they are taking care of this so nicely. You should appreciate they have replacement cards available for something made in such small quantity. These classified cards are not really created to generate profit directly in sales. They are made to generate excitement about the EVGA name so I doubt they are charging a larger profit margin on them then say any other card they make. They could have gone the software route, but they chose this because it is possibly more accurate and it certainly adds some hands on fun to the process. If you are attempting world records you are likely changing voltages on the fly and making extremely rapid adjustments to those settings. Think about having to make your voltage change in windows, but you are pushing so hard you can't boot 100% in. What do you do then? You have to fall back to old bios and reboot. This probably makes rapid changes easier. I almost talked my self into liking it!

Firstly and explanation or the one he gave is what you would expect him to say ... would ANY PR person say... we just wanted a way to pocket your money? Secondly, HE IS NOT REALLY COMPLAINING ... he is doing us a favor in sharing his experiences! Lastly, he seems pretty cheery to me considering ... and GRATEFUL ... EVGA should be grateful he bought their card and the EVBOT for $750!!! They are a business and EVGA survives because of the perception they have a good after sales customer service and with this NEW and highly visible card being talked about in a highly visible thread (especially after some chatter became negative when we heard about his bad experience how could EVGA NOT take care of him, in fact isn't that what advanced RMA is for... and ANY half way intelligent company will plan for a certain percentage of cards to arrive defective and would have a small supply to fit that projection!!!. And not generate money in sales ... please show us how they are not making money selling that card and EVBOT for $750 together! It would be stupid to not make money , and I am very confident they have a decent margin on this card in addition to the press of making a monster card. iyiff With regard to the cost of the EVBOT, Jacob already explained why it is an expensive item in this or another thread. iyiff These classified cards are not really created to generate profit directly in sales. They are made to generate excitement about the EVGA name so I doubt they are charging a larger profit margin on them then say any other card they make. I'm sure they don't see the Classified cards as a huge profit generating machine, as they evidently can't put out enough to sell more than about 10 of them. That being said, you're sadly mistaken if you think there isn't a huge profit margin on these cards. There's a big margin on every card, especially given the 670's are basically underclocked 680's, and nothing (outside of lightning and classy cards) have voltage control. Most 670's have been able to meet 680 clocks, for $100+ less. That's not even beginning to take into consideration all of the different versions of cards, like SC, Sig, FTW, etc., which cost $20, $40, $70 more than a standard 680. They really are all basically the same card with slightly different shrouds and stock clock speeds. Most all of them will max out around the same speed, and where they do is really just luck of the draw. The pricing on the 6xx line really is screwed, as it has been discussed on here before.

Yikes, your bottom fan is exhausting air which is keeping airflow from reaching the GPU. Your PSU is also upside down, battling the GPU for air, and having two top fans is most likely hurting temps more than helping (negative pressure, front-most one is reducing airflow to the CPU). So you can probably get even lower GPU temps.

jgonz Did you get the new Classy Khalus? I did! Sealed NIB too...EVGA rocks again! However, it was a long week with plenty of time to consider my options. In the end I decided that playing with voltages and trying to run a Classified on Air was too much hassle {at least in trying to get the most of it!}. I just wanna play my fracken games at max settings with a more than awesome frame rate! In consideration of the Classified's fan being capped at 55% and my being semi-noobish at OCing with voltages, I feel it'd probably be better that someone with more experience and planning to run the Classified under water have it instead. That being said, it has already been sold, too another EVGA member that is doing just that. In exchange I'm getting some extra cash and a new GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB to pair with the one I already have. Decided to finally give SLi a go, always wanted to in the past but never had the money and the vocal crowd of negatives always pushed me away from it. Give me about a week, Thurs/Fri hopefully at the latest and I'll be sure to share my GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB SLi Benchmarks and gaming results! {a new thread will be created}

On air, the Classy is not as exciting as you may think. I've been in contact with over a 1/2 dozen other Classy owners and we all pretty much came to the same conclusion. Water is best for these GPUs when OCing. With a 55% fan limit, its just not enough to get a decent, yet stable OC. I own the FTW and Classified, and on Air, my FTW scores and runs games better than the Classified does even being lower clocked... As I already said though, I'm sure someone with more experience with OCing and planning to run them on water will get better performance but I don't have that option, without spending a great deal more money and rebuilding my newly built air based PC, thus I saw no reason to keep it!
