Update that might interest the OP:

I just got my 2 480 GTX SC cards from Komplett Nordic. They are both US design (box art). With the regular US SC, SSC, FTW stickers on the front. And not those Overclocked stickers on your pictures.

So you will probably get the "proper" US box art on your replacement card :)

just arrived my oc 480 here in italy and installed on my pc.
It work fine GOOd!!!.
What news  about card upgrade ( bracked and backplate) ??????
 
 

i don't really want to say this (sorry evga) but yo have the reason in some parts of this.
all my evga products have been working pretty good but they have a common problem. all of them came with some kind of finger tips all over the product.
exmples:
evga x58 sli le from micro center was packaged correctly (got it from micro center store) so i obviously can check packaging before opening. the mosfet heatsink had like 2 finger tips which i couldn't remove. not even with alcohol and lint free cloth.
evga gtx 260 core 216 from newegg or oher store i don't remember now. card had some finger tips but they could be removed (they were in the plastic cover). when i opened the card for changing thermal paste (not voiding the warranty obviously) i cleaned the card (gpu, copper cooler) and i saw a somewhat big finger tip on the copper base of the cooler and i couldn't remove it. i used isoppropyl alcohol and lint free cloths and tried many times to remove that finger tip on the cooler (left side not in middle thankfully) and it didn't remove. it was like a thermal paste finger tip but like i said i couldn't remove it.
i think evga should take more care while packaging products and the assembly part with those finger tips. got a finger tip in 3 out of 4 product out of evga i've got.

I received my 2 480 SC yesterday, also from Komplett Nordic.

Brand new packaging w/no fingerprints and all seals in place. This is my 3rd build using evga products and i have not experienced anything not to my satisfaction, and i must admit i am quite picky on these things ^^

I feel confident that with the new stock you can look forward to receiving your stuff.

yea but sadly i had to return the only evga motherboard as i thout the gtx 480 wouldn't arrive untill 13th and the day after they out of the blue get them in stock

 




I've read your thread. I have to say I'm truly sorry for all the to trouble you have gone through.
One thing that has not been brought up. I'm not sure what the process is  for a sc 480. 


It should be quality control, binned (hand picked) for SC speeds. Here is a good point. 
 In the past (gtx280) EVGA puts a sticker inside the video cards case with the bios rev. number on it. 


If it would been me, knowing this. I would run gpuz find the bios #, then opened it looking for that sticker.
Then compare the number that is on gpuz. Would this info do you any good? Not really they very well may just flash regular 480 to SC.
And in the end as long as it is at the proper speed, and covered under the warranty. Make no difference! 
As your receipt of purchase is best defense if there was a discrepancy. 


Evga would make it right. IMHO best company in the world, the WORLD! Don't forget to register it.

not sure if i mentiond this before but the problem has been solved now im just waiting for the ftw3 to get here so i can finally buy my pc

Maybe EVGA can trace the serial number.

As I mentioned previously in another thread the FTW3 X58 motherboard should arrive anywhere from Mid-July onwards in Europe. So it could be the middle of July, but then again it could also be the latter part of July assuming there are no unforeseen delays.

Slightly bended brackets off brand new cards are quite common, but never seen one like that though.
