Hi.
I tested my old GTX 580 3GB (jul 2014 - end of dec 2014) and GTX 780 Ti Classified (feb 28th, 2015 - jun 08th, 2016) and I detected issues...
-- GTX 580 3GB: freeze - http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=395679
-- GTX 780 Ti Classified: render failed on Octane Render - http://forums.evga.com/GT...k-speeds-m2347509.aspx

Therefore, I've notice for Hynix as bad brand. - EVGA won't produce any Hynix for VRAM.

Do you agree this?

I have had many Gpu's with Hynix and never had a single issue with them. Could you explain what you are talking about rather than being vague?

My old EVGA GTX 480 reference (Samsung VRAM) got ZERO problems both gaming and Octane Render and had 43 months until "death" (=not respond despite no any artifacts) on june 14th, 2014.

Ok. My Hynix have no problems. What makes you think it is the memory? Again, explain. Being vague isn't helping.

    It's weird. But...
Try to test Octane Render (OR) demo (2 downloads here -> demo and .orbx) running your GTX 780 series with Hynix users to see if the render is failed or not - the render is passed with all samples per pixel at minimum 2 or 3 loops.

If you have any doubt about ready to render OR then reply here.

My titan x's passed the demo without failing. All four of my titan x's use hynix memory.

Thank you ;) Likely Hynix issue was "fixed" for Maxwell. But I'm waiting any result of your GTX 780 series' with Hynix user...

Did I just roll my eyes out loud?
It's hard not to roll your eyes when such a small sample (2 cards) in an experiement somehow draws the conclusion that every card in the world with a particular brand of memory is defective.
    Get real!
