Can't believe yet another shooting, and this one by all appearances was completely uncalled for. CNN has the story with some video.
 
If you aren't aware what happened, someone called the police saying there was a man with a gun in the middle of the road, so understandably cops were on alert and being extra cautious (particularly in light of what has been going on recently), BUT when they got there, the man with a "gun" turned out to be an autistic guy with a TOY TRUCK sitting in the middle of the road having an episode, and with him was a behavior therapist from the group home trying to calm the autistic guy down.
 
When the cops arrive, the therapist gets on the ground, laying on his back with his hands in the air, and repeatedly tells cops who he is and what the situation is and that neither of them are armed and the autistic guy is holding a toy truck. This is all on video. This goes on for several minutes, neither of them make any sudden moves, then totally out of the blue one of the cops just opens fire on the therapist for no reason!
 
The therapist was shot in the leg once.
 
At first I thought it must have been an accident with a hair trigger, but no, there were allegedly 2 to 3 shots fired - that's no accident.
 
When the therapist asked the cop why he shot him, the cop replied, "I don't know."
 
Holy crap! Worse yet, they them handcuffed him and left him laying there bleeding for 20 minutes before an ambulance arrived.
 
That cop better go to freaking jail, that is just totally wrong.
 
 

That is so sad. That officer needs to be arrested now and charged. But, nope. He is resting comfortably at home getting paid while watching the news about this. This is exactly why people get angry and raise hell. I am sure the excuse will be he pulled the trigger by accident. 

I myself being part conspirator, I'm willing to believe that there was more behind this besides a cop "accidentally" shooting a therapist. I'm wondering if this cop was "paid" by the BLM to do something totally asinine, that being what we have seen happen.
 
You have to agree with me that something is up if the cop responds with "I dont' know", looks to have been staged... I don't buy it. It looks to me that the cop was paid by someone.
 
 

 
LOL apparently the cop has now claimed that he was trying to shoot the autistic guy because he thought the therapist (Charles Kinsey) was in danger.. lmao, really??? If that was true, then why did he then handcuff the therapist and leave him laying there on the ground bleeding for 20 minutes?
 
Saw this on twitter: The 911 call stated there was an unstable man with a gun. Turns out they were right, the man also had a badge.. 
 
 
 

It all comes down to how law enforcement are trained and held accountable. I think all new police recruits should go the first year without carrying any lethal force on them. The training officer should be only one allowed to carry lethal force. That way the recruit leans to use other skills instead of reaching for gun if someone fails to comply.

I was honestly thinking the same exact thing. Either these cops have the WORST training ever or someone is paying cops to do this to minorities. It makes sense that groups like BLM would want to fuel the hatred towards cops, especially if you factor in other conspiracies that George Soros funds BLM etc. I hate to believe conspiracies but jesus, if I was a cop I would want to avoid shooting a minority AT ALL POSSIBLE, especially in a situation like this one where excessive force is obviously not needed. All the hate mail, trials, death threats is something I would not want to deal with at all. Talk about committing career suicide. It just does not add up.

I expect my PD to be well trained and proficient with firearms. I expect them to hit their target on the first shot. Too many time I see Phillly PD involved in shootouts and they hit the suspect 2 or 3 times after expending over 38 rounds. Totally surprised there aren't other casualties as in 'Collateral Damage'.

Depends what weapon they are using - handguns are notoriously inaccurate if not at close range.

IDK, I guess it just depends on how much you practice and whether you let the stress of the situation effect you. Shooting at a range is a lot different than a street standoff, I think since I've never been in one of those. I had a S&W Model 19-5 .357 Magnum that was dead on. Never had to use it in a life or death situation with other distractions moving around me like civilians and vehicles.

The response of the officer and how arrogant he is being about it. I just have no words. Its scary. For a start. The hit was a misfire and actually meant for the autistic person. WOW! Basically he has zero regrets and believes he was saving a life that was possibly endanger. They are also starting to stick up for this officer. His police department including the big boss.   

They will probably end up promoting that officer as job well done.
