On another note, I have an announcement to make.
A big thank you goes out to hinebaud on agreeing to take on the responsibilities of the assistant counselor for the FAHaholics Anonymous Addiction Counseling Center.
Since I am going to be doing some work out of town over the next few weeks, hinebaud will assist me in taking care of business around here when I am not available.

Glad hinebaud is on board! On a side note I'll also put my CPU folding as soon as it finishes its current crunching tasks, it says the last one will finish in ~8 hours so that will be first thing to do when I wake up tomorrow, hope I don't forget  .

Hello, I'm CleWeR and I just rolled back to the 285.** drivers today.
Tried getting more frames with the 295s, but my WUs failed, so here I am again: Not playing games like every normal person, but folding proteins.
So good to hear it from others, too.

I have a couple questions.
1) How many teams will make it through the qualification round?
2) Will overproducing like I have been above the 26k I posted be held against us in anway.
3) after the qualification round will the PPD and Work units a day be normalized to our current output.
I am just trying to figure it out because I know I originally stated 9.6 work units a day. and 26k points per a day. At the time I signed up for the contest thats exactly what I was producing on average for most of the last month. But with the new upgrades to my rig. And the overclocking I am currently able to produce around 40k or more points per a day and I even expect that to increase once my new ram arrives. I just want to make sure we are not going to be penalized for this.
I just wish I could have gotten my PPD estimation updated before the start but I was still doing stability testing until the day before the contest started.

1) All teams go through to the next round, the top 4 compete for the top four spots, the bottom 4 compete for the bottom 4 spots. Everyone keeps folding through to the end of the month.
2) Since we are below our team prediction right now, no it will not be reduced. If we go over that, then there is a possibility that it will be reduced. However, your extra production will still 100% count towards the 700 million for March, and will still add in some way to the total points you contribute to the team.
3)We will still be working off of the predicted points at sign-up for any calculations that are set up, it's the only way to keep things somewhat representative of the balancing that Troy did.

I was going to get my old gaming rig up and folding but I just gave her away today. Friend was down in the dumps breaking both hands. He was planning on buying it so I gave it to him early :3.
If any one can sit down with me and help me OC my Xeon I could be pumping more out.

I'm having some issues after upgrading my drivers :( I'll downgrade them tonight again for the week ahead.
Let's at least make a push for 5th, where we finished last year! Wish I had some extra hardware to bring online.

Hypothetically, being in the top 1-4 ensures that the worst we will finish in the elimination rounds is 4th. Being in the 5-8, the best we could finish is 5th.

Did you roll back your drivers yet? There is an issue with the screen saver on the new drivers. http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1471938 You could try the work around if that is the problem.

50 points and we are in fourth. The trick is keeping it. I still can't believe how as of today when I woke up we are 600 points behind the lead team. When yesterday we where only 200.

Well we got fourth place. Now lets make sure we keep it. Later this week my rig will have to go down for a little bit of time in order to instal a new power supply (swapping my 750w for and 850w). But do to the points screw up and my massive over production I don't think it will greatly affect the team.

I had to turn down the OC on my GTX460 a little. To make up for it I will trying to complete a least 3-4 WU's a week on my PS3.
