Lets kids or parents render new toys straight from their tablet or smartphone. I think this is an interesting idea.

    Thanks RJ

Could be used for the ultimate modding if the printing resolution is fine enough.

The trick is interfacing it with something non-proprietary so Mattel doesn't rape your pocketbook for printing models.

    1) Neat, but I would be concerned about whether models are free or open sourced?
    2) Good to see pricing on 3D printers falling.
    3) If Autodesk has time to make a tablet/phone friendly app, why do they not have time to enable DPI scaling for 3DS Max?!

I was a North Carolina School of the Arts awhile back and they make movie props there for all kinds of movies and I saw a 3D printer making a prop and the detail was very good .. so these 3D printers are already in uses more then we know.
