Not really liking the 'new' gang nor direction this one seems to be going.... I know it's still really early for this but why make a MAFIA game that doesn't follow any kind of pattern of the other ones ??

The first Mafia released around 2000 is and always will be one of the best open world games of all time, IMHO. Besides the open world elements, what I loved about that game was the story, the voice acting, the score and also the graphics, which I thought was superb for its time. Mafia II, I did not enjoy as much (despite better graphics and more gta like features), never even finished the game.
This new game is drifting even further away from what made MAFIA great. Mafia, to me, was always about the mob, the family, the ties/bonds, betrayal and of course the cars and gun-fight. Judging from the trailer and the gameplay pictures, it did not give me the same impression. But I am still optimistic about it.
In a world full of games like Driver, GTA, Watchdogs, Mafia stood out as the one of the very few games that truly captured the nostalgia of the yesteryear. Hopefully 2k can keep at least the gist of that era in their new games.

I can't wait for this one! I loved Mafia 2, And I always wanted a game like this based in the 1960's My favorite cars and music is from the 50's 60's era. (looks like he is driving a 66-67 goat) You can tell it is improved version of the engine used in Mafia 2. This means it will more than likely run very well on launch. I also can't wait for Fallout 4! This is going to be a great winter for games!

Agreed, this looks to be an awesome game. I usually do not preorder anything but have done so for FO4 and SWB. In the process of putting together a new system just for gaming and nothing else. Going to be an exciting time for die hard gamers come this years holiday season!
