If excessive PPD increases are going to be considered an issue, then I'm out of this contest. When there is no team balancing going on, it really doesn't matter what PPD anyone reported. People should be encouraged to increase beyond what they originally estimated, not punished for it.
Punchy, follow these rules and no problem. Contest Participation
- You must fold under your own folding name for team 111065.
- All folders are expected to fully participate in the contest for its entire duration.
- If you cannot commit to folding for the entire contest you should not sign up for the contest.
- You are only allowed to fold under your own folding name.
- You may not pause, stop or otherwise disrupt your normal flow of work units to gain an advantage. (strategic work unit selection is permitted)
Eligible Hardware: - Any hardware you fold on for the contest must be personally owned by you.
- Adding additional hardware that you own (especially if you will fold on it full time) is both permitted and encouraged.

Horvat? ... Do you have a spare 1366 CPU that I can borrow to fire up a second rig for either CPU Folding or just to give instructions for GPU Clients? ... aka 9800 GX2's ;)

I noted that as one issue that captains deal with.
not to say it will be an issue here. I don't think will be penalizing anyone (for cheating/sandbagging). Also remember the point system have had adjustments(partial credit) for over production like in the past contests (Not to say that's being implemented either).
Honestly produce all you can for your team and have fun
Just take the rules as is until the captains/teams discuss the contest. If the teams like it the way it is we run it that way.
I have also posted in the announcement thread for the teams to select captains and look at ways to balance the teams or point system. Not to say we will do it, but discussions are not discouraged and may lead to improvements in the contest this year or next.
Team fairness is more important. It really isn't fair if we know the results of the competition before it begins based on projected PPD. It discourages competition in it next year and people from folding their best or fullest this year . Why should they for a forgone conclusion?.
To me it doesn't matter because Im at max all the time. Me and troy discussed this...we can leave the contest as is.. we don't mind...but if the teams want changes(improvements) then contact us or discuss it amongst the captains and come to us with the changes.

I would have if the Xeon processors that showed up yesterday worked. Had to send them back today, they were DOA. I need my W3503 to keep the one rig going for PPD till I sell it or I get them repalced.

I have two 470's I could crank up but I'm not sure it would help since I already told them my PPD. Also may slow down my CPU bigadv.
