MINI HDMI TO HDMI NO SIGNAL

When i connect my evga gtx 570 sc using mini hdmi to hdmi my hdtv shows no signal but if I use both the dvi to hdmi the port it works perfectly fine. I'm just wondering is there something that i need to enable to make the mini hdmi to work. I'm perfectly fine in using the dvi port since its the same quality as mini hdmi port but i am still wondering why its not working.

    make sure all the connections are plugged in all the way. first time on mine the mini dvi cables wasnt plugged into the port on the card all the way

    I wound up having to shave off some of the rubber on one side, as it hit part of my case... which caused it to go in slanted. That was a simple solution, and it worked after.

    Good catch.  It seems to have happened on many 400 series cards as well depending on some chassis makes.  I like simple fixes instead of "the project"...

    One thing i discovered when i tried plugging in the mini hdmi to hdmi while my dvi to hdmi is also plugged in the nvidia control panel under setting up my physx the mini hdmi port is showing as plugged in.

    i'm going to be subscribing to this thread.  I am going to be upgrading my monitor Monday...it ONLY has HDMI & VGA.  So I am forced to use HDMI to mini HDMI cable for this new monitor....I have the same card as OP...I'll report any problems!

    I just made the switch from dvi to hdmi.  One thing I noticed is that my video does not seem to output video until the first windows 7 splash screen, no initial bios splash nothing.  So it takes a bit longer to finally see video.

    I have an update I tried plugging in the mini hdmi to hdmi adapter to check if anything is blocking it that it wont plug in correctly but the adapter easily fits my haf x and I don't see any obstruction blocking it and to no avail still doesnt work. The only thing i noticed when i plug in my hdmi cable to the hdmi female of the adapter it doesnt go all the way in not sure if it was designed that way. Maybe its some setting on my LG hdtv that i need to do.

    Man--this sure sounds familiar. My 28 inch monitor only has VGA and HDMI.  About a year ago it stopped working on HDMI--using a vanilla 9800GTX. Using my  new GTX 480 will not work on mini HDMI to HDMI either. I sent the monitor away for repair at a cost of $71. shipping. They said they replaced the mainboard, but when it came back it still did not work on HDMI. I tested it on an X-Box (forgive me) and it did not work on HDMI, but a Dell monitor did using the same cable. So I think my monitor is still faulty--but this is getting pretty frustrating. It is going back again to repair--this time HannsG is footing the bill on shipping. BTW, it still works fine on DVI to VGA with adapter.

    I went ahead and tested the HDMI
     
    I had no problems with my GTX 570 SC.  It loads up super fast, even during POST I can see the whole screen

    dukenuke88, what kind of cable and how long was it that you tested your HDMI port with?
