Ever since I built my new PC and put a block on this card, I have been getting awful coil whine. I doubt it's the way I installed the block and more the fan was drowning it out.
 
Obviously the more graphically intensive the title, the louder it gets. It's not completely over-powering, but when you have a quiet system that sits on your desk, it is clearly audible and annoying. 
 
Has anyone experienced this with their 980TI? I thought the coil whine thing was tackled. 
Any way I can reduce the whine?
Am I out of warranty for putting a block on it myself? 
 
Any help is appreciated.
