Gtx 590 classified edition on craigslist for $250. Buy? I'm coming from a gtx 650 ti boost sc. The gtx 980 doesn't look like it'll be worth the wait tbh...

If it is functional, do it.

I've actually found a few 770's in the similar price range. Is there a huge difference in performance? I'm not a big fan of multi-gpu setups. Compatibility and scaling is a hassle.

If that's the case, go with the 770. It performs a bit better than the 590 while using half the power.

770 all the way, might even have warranty left

I agree. The 770 would be the best choice.

Well really.... I've seen R9 290X's go for $240 on eBay, even on craigslist. Those are also an incredible deal if you are looking for just a single GPU. Finding two and running crossfire could be very nice for under $500 for both and having something that usually comes within 18% of the performance of what SLI GTX 980's put out.

I'm guilty of stalking craigslist on the never ending upgrade crusade. You ought to be able to get a 780 for about $350, maybe less if you're confident haggling.
