Some notice some don't. Its mainly for the 3d. I think it looks sharper....dunno.

    You're talking about the 50" TV? http://www.amazon.com/Sam...0p-120Hz/dp/B00I94IRIQ
I use my 46" JVC HDTV for my other PC and using a HDMI cable I am only getting 1920x1080 at 30 Hz according to NVCPL although it is a 120 Hz TV. Many will complain about input lag when gaming but I have played a MP round of BF3 and didn't notice anything. I actually did quite well in that game on a 64 player server.

I don't know that you can monitor the refresh rate. You just set it in the nVidia Control Panel. I did have to change my TV's Aspect setting or else I couldn't see the edges of the screen.

30 Hz is the only resolution option available to me. Maybe it's because I have it set to 1080p instead of 1080i or vice versa. IDK, I haven't really had time to mess with it yet.

I didn't notice any lag at all and my FPS was the same as it would be on my main PC using the 144 Hz monitor. I didn't notice any screen tearing either. I was pleasantly surprised. The other PC is only a G3258 in a MSI Z97 PC Mate motherboard with a GTX-680 2 GB Superclocked video board. http://www.modsrigs.com/detail.aspx?BuildID=34016
I did get some occassional stuttering but I was on a 64 player map. The BF3 campaign runs flawlessly.
I gotta update the pics on this thing.

If price is not an issue and you don't care about Stereo 3D gaming...
    XB270HU from Acer
    2560 x 1440P IPS with G-sync at 144hz, support for ULMB.
I bought mine a few months ago, loving it.    Color and viewing angles of an IPS is so much better than TN.
I play demanding games at High/Ultra Settings = G-sync Mode
BF4/Shooters = ULMB Mode  (Ultra Low Motion Blur)

G-sync makes the eye candy pop out even when FPS drops to 45-60FPS
ULMB = advantage in fast paced multiplayer shooters.  (Need to keep your settings so your gpu can render 120FPS+ if possible for best experience)

I don't know if the one I have is exactly the one you noted, but my model is QX2710. 2 out of 3 are great, with great color and no dead pixel, and no back light bleed. The 3rd one has a loose DVI connector and every other day I will need to unplug and re-plug it, and the color has a bluish tint to it. To me it is truly the luck of the draw, albeit the chance of getting a good one is better nowadays.

I have one. No issues at all with it, no backlight bleed it's 60hz and 2560x1440P

Not bad and many ways to connect to it. It also has a 3yr warranty.

If you want to overclock your monitor, QX2710 is a good choice. However, that is not guaranteed. If you just want 1440p @60Hz, the ASUS PB278Q is a better choice. I like the multiple input, the ability now to adjust the height/tilt, and the overall build quality. The QX2710 stand is wobbly to say the least. As far as the quality of the panel and color reproduction, to me they are on equal ground.

    Two options for you.

I had the QNIX 2710 which is 2560x1440 and oh mean let me tell you the amazing difference from 1080. I dealt with them once and ordered a pixel perfect monitor but had a dead pixel, they like to offer partial refunds first though.

Also ignore the statement about overclocking the monitors. These you can "overclock" them but it doesn't actually change the refresh rate, instead it drops frames.

I just purchased an ASUS MX27AQ and omg it's the best monitor I've seen yet and the pricetag is just shy of $500 but worth every penny IMO.

The QX2710 will overclock to 96hz in most cases and the picture quality is superb since its a samsung ips panel inside.

The stand is a little wobbly but do you really move your monitor THAT much? I know I don't move it after initially installing it.

Please know what you're talking about before you actually post. Three things you've said were incorrect.

1.) The monitor does not actually overcloock to a higher refresh rate, instead it drops frames. It's just used as a selling point. Google if you want to know what I'm actually talking about since you don't know being you're bragging about the "overclocking".

2.) It's a a PLS panel which is similar to IPS, but it's not.

3.) The stand is not actually wobbly. Maybe the people who say it's wobbly have a crappy desk but I have this desk and it wasn't wobbly at all. I'm sure if you have a cheap desk or something it may wobble.

Again please know what you're talking about.
