final fantasy XIII, have 120 hours and still on chapter 11 LOL, first play through even. i think i'm doing something wrong
Moose... you gone and broke it again. For PS3: FF13 for me at 90 hours. Working my way to all ultima weapons. Currently playing Star Ocean 4 (The Last Hope) at 60 hours.. working through post game dungeons. For PC: Borderlands 90 hours? Got to level 61, done both playthroughs, and killed Crawmerax enough times to know he does not want to drop Pearlescense weapons. I probably have a good 100 hours of Dragon Age Origins/Awakening + all DLCs.

For me it's a really hard decision since I complete most games I play (100%) in under 60 hours, i play on medium to hard most of the time, hardest on shooters though, not counting mmo's I would have to say warhammer 40k soul storm, if I include mmo's I would say either Oblivion, Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, or Call of Pripyat (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series) But that's mostly replaying and breaking the game to the point where it's not possible to die even if you don't carry bandages or medkits

^ Speaking of FPS games. Soldier Of Fortune 2 was a long game. Don't know if anyone else here ever played that game.
+1 8 years latter and i still haven't finished it. That game is way to hard for me. Too stealthy for my liking or style.
My computers are liquid cooled while my vehicles are air cooled.

That would have to be StarCraftII for me in which i actually attemped to finish this game and finally did after a few days.

A little game called life. I'm still grinding away at it as we speak. Whoever came up with the advancement and experience mechanisms in this game needs their butt kicked.

Far Cry 2. Game makes you run a marathon uphill in 100 degree temps. As you cross the finish line weeping with exhaustion you discover you have now completed 10% of the game. I finished it as an act of sheer will.

Come on people something other than Rpg's or mmo's even though it's obvious they take the most time to complete, does no one ever play a fps on hard/insane and ever try to finish it? The CoD series is a good example since it's almost ludicrous to complete campaign on veteran unless you break your tv first lol

Well, I Never finished GTA San Andreas, its really long, Oblivion i spent a lot of hours but totally enjoyed that, Fallout 3 the same (with all the DLCs).

Well I tried God of War 3 on chaos mode. Took me 30-40 hrs to get to Zeus and I haven't finished it yet because he thoroughly kicks my kiester on phase 3.

It took me and my friend 5 straight days sitting in a dark room during a week of severe thunderstorms to play through the Gamecube remake of the original Resident Evil. That was years ago and is still the best spring break ever.
(Nowadays it takes about 6 hours to play through the whole game :-p)

FPS's can still have a good one story mode.
COD4 was pretty fun, so was COD MW2 (Which I still have not beaten.)
But those campaigns are only like 4 hours long max. D.M.W.T

i have 80+ hours on fallout3. although i think the most time i have spent on a game and finishing it is diablo 2. i do have quite a few l4d1-2 hours but i dont play them non-stop

I probably have 150 or so hours in Oblivion. I can't even load up one of my saves anymore because I had close to 75 mods running and I don't remember what they were. I haven't played it in a while, but I have close to 1500 hours in Guild Wars (I idled a lot and have had it for 5 years  ).

Other than MMOs, I think the longest I played a game was Daggerfall... I played that for hours a day one summer and finally beat it. I would estimate about 350-400 hours on that one game... and I still didn't do everything.
Seriously daggerfall was absurdly huge in scale. Just the way the dungeons would be generated could get you lost in there for days of gameplay time. I mean honestly now, they designed teleport systems just so that you could have a chance to escape some of these places realistically and the sheer quantity of underwater tunnels could get more than obnoxious to navigate properly. Morrowind and oblivion do not even compare at all to be honest. Excluding mmo style games and online FPS, i think my overal time logged into CIV would be the closest to match what i sank into daggerfall. Console rpgs don't come close to dagger fall either, not even the early FF or dragon quest series.

Well compared to real life that's the game pitying you, I wonder how many people play nascar and drive 200 laps around the same track non-stop? I think fallout 3 got really boring for me because I totally broke the game and knew everything at the end of my first playthrough, the only reason I don't play oblivion is because it dosen't support the 360 controller and since I played the 360 for 2-3 years I can't play games without the controller
