I've been a loyal customer for a few years now. Had bought the GTX 295 in the past and currently have 2 680 classifieds that I custom water-blocked.

I waited patiently through your silence and don't want to take the chance again of dealing with your lack of supply of hydro copper cards.

I waited 3-4 years ago for the 680 Hydro Coppers. They had 2 shipments......both were sold out before I even got the email notification(that's a fail). Therefore, I had to custom build my own cards. That wasn't the bad thing....the bad thing was waiting 6-8 months for a product that wouldn't be in reasonable supply for a regular customer to pick up. So I risked the warranty, broke the air coolers off, and went to work. No big whoop....just remember this moment for the next time you try to buy cards from EVGA.

Now the 1080s come around and I get excited because of the news of the hydro copper coming. Then I read it's coming in late July. Cool...I'll wait....and wait....and wait.....and whoa...I'm seeing a pattern here.....sounds like I'm going to go through the same grief as 3-4 years ago.

NO THANKS!

Your business setup is awful....plain and simple. You advertise all of these great products yet you rarely have supply. It's just sad. It's like you guys are trying to fail.....either that or it's total incompetence from your business staff in terms of supply issues. Yeah yeah, I understand the supply issues with the 1080s at the beginning but this is same issue that happened with the 680s as well.

Hell, I would wait 6-8 months if you would put out a pre-order set up. Just charge me when it's ready and give a couple of days notice. But I guess it's too hard for you guys to commit to what you're allegedly trying to sell to the public.

What's different this go-around is telling people something is going to be out and then it's not. But instead of being professional, you just tell everyone "No ETA". That's it?!?!? What happened? Can we know what caused this delay to happen? But we get nothing.....nada.....zip. Sorry but that's not how you treat potential customers. Do you really expect customer

But hey, look at this! Other vendors are making water blocked cards. I don't have to make my own this time around and it's already set up as a water-cooled card?!?!?!

Sold! 2 MSI EK Seahawks on the way!

I know I'll probably get heat from the fanboys on here. Screw it....I no longer want to be a sucker waiting for something that never seems to happen when it comes to getting products advertised by this so-called company.

It's always a tradeoff. You've got the MSI cards coming now, which is great for you. Let's hope you never have to rely on customer support, because you may end up wishing you had EVGA cards then. But you can't get the EVGA cards now, which I understand. Like I said, it's a tradeoff. It would be great if EVGA's cards were out now, but they aren't, so make your decision and drive on.

I just made my own "hydro copper" by slapping an EK full-cover block onto my EVGA 1080 SC. Since I didn't break anything, I know that if I need EVGA support I can remove the EK, put the ACX 3.0 shroud back on, and I'll be good to go. I'm happy with that. Given the performance I'm seeing in terms of temperatures and overclocking headroom increases, I'm sure you'll be pleased with your seahawks.

Happy EVGA customer.  Affiliate Code: 0Y7-1VU-ATW2

buying vanilla and adding your own block is probably better off in the long run. and probably the same price. As long as you don't ruin the original shroud, the warranty should become invalid. the you can overclock the card yourself which im sure you've done in the past

The reason I like the EVGA HC Models over a plan Jane or vanilla Graphics Card is the HC Models have a Different Bios with a Higher GPU Clock and sometime a Higher Memory Clock as well.

    HAHA,

Fighting the urge to upgrade when I really dont need too is tough. I have had two Titan X Pascals in my cart twice and was so close to clicking buy now I was sweating. There is so many shiny new things I want in the GPU world right now.

For the most part my heart is not going to give up if I cannot get some GTX 1080Ti HC Models Cards in the next 12 months.
My Current Graphics Cards are running fine and will for the next few years.
I may even wait it out for the GTX 1090Ti HC Models Cards or what ever model they give them at the end of next year.
I went from the GTX 260 to the GTX 550Ti then over to the GTX 690 660 660Ti 680 Classified and even a few GTX 780 Cards and through a few HC Water Blocks and Backplates.
My Current GTX 980 HC and 980 Hybrids Graphics Cards will last at least a Few More Years.
