It's been five years since I completed LiquidKhaos v3 and the time has come to once again upgrade some of the components. I'm pretty excited about this build and felt like sharing where I came from and where I got to. It appears during our migration my original build logs disappears so I'll provide a summary of the revisions and where we are going now.

LiquidKhaos v4
includes everything from v3 with the exception of these items

- EVGA X79 Dark
- Intel Core i7-4930K Ivy Bridge-E with HK Rev 3.0 CPU Block (Black/Nickel)
- Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB DDR3-2133
- (2) EVGA GTX 780 SC with EK Geforce 780 Block (Black/Nickel)

LiquidKhaos v2

This was the start to my water cooling adventure; I was hooked from this point and my most favored design came in v3 with the help of a lot of people on this forum. There was one guy who spent nights talking to me on the phone going over design concepts and parts needed. He was truly my inspiration and for some reason I have forgotten his username after so many years. I hope one day to reconnect with him and thank him for everything he did.

Whats next?

Everything is on order and once it arrives I will be breaking down v3 and building up v4.

Stay tuned; I will post updates to this thread through my progress with photos along the way.

I'd like to thank the folks of this forum, the guys at EVGA, and the community everywhere that has made our passion reality.

I remember your last build which was quite nice. Didn't you have a different user name, [possibly fission] and went to pursue a pilot's career? Might be thinking of another member, but the rig looks like that one. Looking forward to see what you come up with. Nice case, I have a similar one.

Thanks, and yes that was me -- username was LiquidKhaos. The pilot thing never took off, ended up staying in IT and moving to PA.

It has arrived; oooooh I am excited!

I am waiting on my other EK water block; they only had one in stock--I may or may not build this weekend; thinking I might just wait to put the GPU's on water since I run independent loops. I can get the CPU up on water; but then I am waiting for Nate's chipset/vreg water block.

Ugh; I got some other miscellaneous items coming in the next few days as well. I also leave for Texas next week and will be gone for 5-days.

I've got the CPU loop together; just waiting on it to purge and leak test--getting a lot of cavitation in the system. I think I may need to turn down the pump since it's only pushing water through CPU block and not the whole board like my old setup.

Once it's done I'll fire it up and check it all out.

I got the rig up and running.

Right now it's sitting at 30c which is about where my other computer was on water. I've only got CPU on a block with some IC Diamond 24 carat.

I sure do love the case badge they give us. It's running really great; just wish I had my EKWB blocks for the 780's. It's on 18-day back order. :(

Well; I am now complete--I had a little issue with my Intel 510's, I couldn't get them up to 6G speeds so I decided to pick up a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB.

Overall; I am so impressed with this rig -- it's insane what it can do!

Here are some photos from the GPU blocks; she passed a leak test without any issues.

Just ran a Heaven benchmark -- freaking LOVE these 680 SC's! I haven't even begun overclocking the CPU or GPU; I'm able to play BF4 in ultra with zero lag; don't think I really care to overclock now.

    Thanks!

    I just ordered a new 1TB WD Green HDD for storage and two of these;

    http://www.amazon.com/FC5-Channel-30W-LCD-Controller/dp/B00DQSTP0O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393518434&sr=8-1&keywords=FC5+6+Channel+30W+LCD+Fan+Controller+V3

I decided I wanted to upgrade my controllers because if one fan dies; I can't tell if it's on the backside of my rad's--the lights on my controller don't indicate a power outage. At least with FC I can see the RPM gone.

I just installed the FC5V3 fan controllers; they are pretty awesome with an alarm feature that tells me when a fan fails or temp reaches a threshold; and it's LOUD!

The only complaint; it's not exactly "accurate" in relation to the knob. I normally run my fans underpowered because I don't need them at 2k RPM's.

Love it. I didn't know what to do with all the badges I received from the parts I bought, good use of yours.
