So I got a card a while back and the lifetime warranty and that card is still running but I'm in the market for a new card, thinking a 980ti but it's been a while and I'm out of the loop. Is it just as simple at checkout or registration to purchase it or is it certain items only?

    Hello Teletuby,

We no longer offer the lifetime warranty. Our cards now come with a transferable 3 year warranty that starts from the purchase date. You have to register the card at EVGA.com in order to use the warranty. This registration can be done at anytime within the 3 year period, and a late registration date does not affect your 3 year warranty. If you do like longer warranties however, you are able to purchase an extended warranty. An extended warranty can be purchased by the original owner within 90 days of purchase.
Here is our extended warranty page: http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/extended.asp

Well that sucks. So if I buy say the 10 year and 4 years in the card dies and is replaced, do I still get the remaining years applied to the replacement card or is that over and done and I'd have to buy a new replacement plan with the new card?

I realize you found the answer, but for anyone else reading this the answer is yes, if you purchase a 10 year warranty and have to replace it 4 years in, you keep the 10 year warranty. All warranties, including limited lifetimes, are based on the original card and not the replacements; the only exception to this is a step-up. A card that started as a lifetime warranty but stepped up to a card with a 3 year only gets the 3 year warranty.
