Ok, so I saw this at the local computer store, and I had to have it!  So, I got two.  Now, onto the review!

So, the first thing that struck me was the box:

Now, looks pretty plain, right?  Well, this appears to be one of the many cost-saving ways they implemented without hurting the product itself.  I'll save the price till the end.

Anyways, I take it out of the box and........

Skadoosh!  Now, that is awesome looking.  Now, this case comes with two fans by default.  One 120mm on front with a 120mm on back.   Now, you can add a LOT more!  The front supports two 120mm fans or a 200 mm fan.   The side will take a 120 or a 140mm and the top will take two 120mm or a 200mm.

Pretty neat, eh?  Ignore that blur on the side of the pic, think that is my finger.......

There is also a bottom intake for your PSU.

Now, one thing that really got my attention was the 2.5 bay drive there.  It holds two 2.5 drives for your SSDs.  I got a little drive in there atm.  Also, the bottom and front intake both have filters to help with dust.

Now, for the money shot!

Say it.....ooohhhh.....ahhhh.  Yea, it's not colored inside or anything, but it doesn't subtract from the functionality at all.  Yes, those tabs on the 3.5 drive bay lets you turn it to the side, and the cable management in this case is FANTASTIC!!!!  It also has one tool-less bay for your CD/DVD drive.  Yea, they could have added more, but this case seems to aim for the middle market although it has great features to you hardcore peeps out there.

There is a better shot of the drive bays.  Yes, inside the box there is tabs that permit tool-less drive bay design easily.  Sorry, no pic of that ><.

Now, here is the back view.  It has those holes for your tubes and even specifies that it can handle a dual rad on the top with no problems.  Also included a manual shot, which is both clear and easy to understand.  Something that did catch my attention is that expansion slot off to the side going up-down.  Wonder what that is for?  I used it as a good spot to put the back I/O ports for the motherboard (like the USB/Firewire bracket).

Now, I'll give you a side shot of the computer I made for my soon-to-be wife (June 20th, woo!).  Guess what mobo is in there.  Hint, it has an Intel I7-930 in it.

Hehe......not on, but this was just completed, and I had to take a pic.  I love that side decal.

Now, for the price point.......$60.  WOW!  That is super cheap for a mid-tower of this quality.  I have built several computer in several towers from the Antec 900 to a Raidmax Smilodon, and....by far....this is the best mid-tower I have EVER built a computer in.  Not only is the cable management fantastic, but it also gave you lots of awesome features without cutting anything vital to lower the price point.  Here is the product with all the specs and stuff:

http://www.newegg.com/Pro...9233&Tpk=HAF%20912

If you were going to build a mid-tower, I could think of NO better case to use for a mid-tower.  To be honest, I would give up my HAF 932 for this case no problem, but my 770 won't fit.

So, go out and enjoy!

On an on topic note. I just purchased a HAF 912 tonight on Newegg to swap out cases on my parent's build. I'll know more shortly about the case. I'm definitely going to hit the interior with some black paint.

      You are hilarious Brad

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags!
The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. When you abuse it, it reverses on you and it hurts you.The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

hehe, we're all a bit silly with topic derailment tonight...

Anyways, which particular fans are missing in the case? 1 200mm on top and 1 120mm in the front? Is the side panel fan missing too?

Cool case but for the money I think i'd rather have the CM 590 for the looks alone. The HAF series has a "blocky" look that doesnt really appeal to me. Thanks for the review

not a bad case but I would add filters to the fans

silverstone has the best 120MM filters. I have 2 of them (one on each side intake of my antec 300's)

I mentioned that both the front and bottom intakes have big filters.

@Brad - The two fans that come with the case is one 120mm in front and one 120mm on the back.  So yes, the rest are left empty.  This case was designed for mid-range users with the expandability for enthusiasts.

Yea i realized the front and bottom does, but the side intake doesn't have a filter.

So, if I were to upgrade the fans, I would do 2 200mm (1 for top and one for front) and move the existing front 120mm to the side panel?

After buying those two 200mm fans, it puts this case into the $100 range.

Yes, but they aren't immediate buys. They'd be done over time.

Technically speaking I could of went with the HAF 922, but this is for a matx build with two SATA HDs and a single DVD-RW drive. Nothing all that exotic that needs the 922 or the 932. Pushing $100 range on the case doesn't really bother me, because...well...it's only $100. The build needed a smaller case and decent cable management and airflow. I think it fit the bill.

For what you are looking for, this case would be great.  Also, there really wasn't any "extra" cost for myself on this case since I used fans that I had laying around (I have a lot of fans around, lol.)

I would assume that 2 x 120mm fans would do better than a single 200mm, especially quality 120mm fans!

Ex. I have a bunch of R4 fans that push a lot of air, so 2 x R4s would probably beat my single 200mm Megaflow etc.

Anyone know where to get a HAF 912 Advanced or does CM no longer make them? As for this mini-review I guess I'll still stick with getting the HAF 912 after all.

Nice Review! I just picked up it`s brother, the 922, for my new build. Pretty awesome cases for the money.

The 922 is REALLY good at cooling. It kills my Antec 1200 by far in the cooling department... maybe because the whole side is basically an open fan grill?

I've been using the HAF 912 for some time now and I absolutely LOVE this case.  The price point is wonderful as well.

One thing I'd like to add...

If you have a Corsair H50 CPU cooler, you won't be able to put dual 120mm fans on top if you mount the rad on the 120mm exhaust port on the rear.

I don't have pics right now, but if someone really wants to see what I'm talking about, let me know and I'll get one uploaded when I'm home from work.

    Awesome case!
