Sorry I'm sure this is super simple, I built my computer(first build thoigh) and I work as a client and server side programmer/cyber security etc. So I'm not totally clueless just so you know my knowledge level.

So the cord that came with it is an 8 pin that goes into the 1070. The other end has 1 female 6 pin and a frmsle 6 pin with a 2 connecter.

I've contacted a few people that are supposed to help when you hsb4 problem via live chat and they told me:

You don't need a cord to connect it to the power.

You can connect it to one of the females with the cord that came with the power source

You need to connect both the 6 pin/6+2 pin

Use pci e cord

Use VGA cord

Can someone help me out? First computer built and it's literally the last thing for me to do.

Thank you!

    Welcome to the forums...

If your power supply has the cables needed (two 6+2 and/or 6 pin), use them.  If not, you can use the adpater that came with your GPU.

I should clarify.  If your GPU only has a single power connector, your PSU would only need 1 cable for it.  (6+2)
