Oh come on EVGA...the billboard sticker on the left side (EVGA side) is peeling off already...
Why use cheap stickers instead of something aluminium like the rest of the card?

Other than that the card runs great, but I think this sticker is not gonna stay on there long enough before it starts falling apart.
I really don't wanna put any glue on it and possibly damage the card...enough to return it to newegg or rma it to evga? I am surprised you guys are still having these issues.

You might be able to re-apply the adhesive with a heat gun

Or let the card get to 83 degrees for a bit, reapply pressure and never get it back up to 83.  Problem fixed.

This can be a huge problem over time. this can cause noise vibration , unsightly Led leak which is noticeable when your looking directly at the card. Most if not all EVGA ACX cards have this small defect . I know my SC has it too. My gap in the badge is much bigger than this . I can get a penny wedged under it.

Look at the this Amazon picture. Actual link I got from Jacob's post earlier. Notice how the EVGA logo decal has a bubble and has already started to come unglued? Lower right of "EVGA" Badge..

So obviously they knew about it, and shipped the cards anyway. Perhaps you can get a class-action lawsuit going over this? I'm betting that after lawyers fees you might actually get as much as ten cents per person who bought these defective cards. Probably in the form of gift certificates or store credit. Good luck in your quest for justice!

The above poster nailed it. Because my decal started coming off now there is part of the light that shines through my case window and can really become an annoyance. Yes I could technically turn off the LED and call it a day but yeah no...
I hope evga has addressed this issue with the units otherwise more and more people could get annoyed by this small issue. Anyways I truly appreciate how quickly evga support has treated me. This is the reason I chose evga brand over other.

Can't fault them, just needed a bit more attention to detail (plastic issues and sticker) also the fact the card doesn't properly align with the screws so you gotta push the card up a bit to align the screws. Plus Nvidia is to blame to the slowness of the release.

I've had the MSI gaming X, the gigabyte gaming Xtreme and the Zotac amp extreme and out of them all I really liked the evga card because it was made simple but efficient. Of course the other cards 2/3 were much faster than the evga card out of stock. Too bad all of them had their faults. MSI had bad coil whine, gigabyte Xtreme fan kept hitting the plastic shroud and coil whine, lastly the zotact amp extreme card came out from factory unstable, meaning it kept crashing at its stock advertised clocks.

I do however have to say the Gigabyte Xtreme App is a bit better than the EVGA Precision X for configuring the GPU colors/settings...the evga app felt like it was made by not a very good company.

That is the worse advice you can give, its like  telling someone who have sports car, even thou you can but don't go faster than 100km/h

chatserv, what was the result of the correspondence with EVGA?
is there any solution to this issue?

this seems to be a weak spot not only on the 1080's.

You guys take this thing waaaay too seriously. here is my fix to this problem :)

after receiving the GTX 1080 FTW i put the card in my case + shut off the LED's and i don't look at the case :)

all i care is the card performance. pealing plastics or anything else aesthetically only will drive people nuts.

nothing is perfect and you should look inside the bottle and not the outside ...inside is what matters :) (not only in GPU but in humans also)

You are right, but my computer is sitting sideways right next to my monitor so it's under full view in front of me at all times and every once in awhile my eyes would land on it involuntarily and if I'm honest it does make me feel alittle unsettling.

But yeah, performance matters more, maybe some evga tech guys could come teach us how to safely detach these plastic badges so we could reapply adhesive ourselves? Or maybe sell us replacement badges based on our registered models?

Your missing the whole point. Yes you can showed the card into your case and forget it about it if that's how you are, but  if you produce a card and paying premium you shouldn't have to worry about any part of t falling of, correct me if I'm wrong but most of users do care about the aesthetics I know I do.

I do or I wouldnt have done the builds I have. I could just as easily stuff all the hardware in a case and not spend any time doing cable management and get similar performance. MY case sits on my desk and is part of the whole room asthetic and the case is massive and hard to miss. I like to show pride in both my passion for gaming and computing. having the setup looks nice makes me appreciate the things i have spent my hard earned money on more. I wash my car and take of my yard too and get no performance from those tasks. http://ragevirusqq.imgur.com/

I know people like that I don't have to look far, even my own relatives and  not to place a judgment, but they just  don't  seem to really care and when things falling apart to the point of no repair they ether  cry and asking for help or they get new item(s) and unfortunately they are  the ones that are always broke all their life's because that how they are with everything else.

no need to slam into me  about my opinion(it's only mine , every bode has it's own) i  also like things that i pay premium to be perfect... but look at this from the reality point of view.
you and me already bought the card you can do 2 things.
1.forget about the plastic and go on with life.
    2. you can try and fix it yourself with glue. (RMA won't help you because all cards are manufactured this way)
and if you RMA and get the card with good plastic ... still it will peal off, not today... in a year but still.
made from the same glue \components.

it's not like EVGA going to Recall all the 1070/1080 cards for a bad glue on a plastic side sticker.
come on :) ... look at the reality , what is done is done.
    i don't see another option.
