So just an FYI, I've done the whole triple monitor setup, the TV as a monitor, a single 16:9 monitor... but this... I picked up a Dell 21:9 1440p Ultrawide monitor and I have to say I'm never going back... to anything. ever. I know a lot of you are gonna say, should've went with the x34 predator blah blah blah. I get it, Gsync, overclockable... fine. but 60Hz at 1440p with a 980Ti won't push much further than 60fps (maxed) on newer titles anyway. I've had multiple GPU setup and will ALWAYS recommend it to builders and if you have the horsepower, then do it! but this Dell setup is amazing. Just sharing my 2 cents

I'm on my iPhone right now but what GPU are you driving it with? Whoops missed the 980TI part. Do you notice any issues on the curved screen like documents being warped?

I have had the X34 for a few weeks now. I love it! Best monitor I have ever had. Really smooth and the colors are very deep once I calibrated it. It is wonderful to game on.

Yeah, my 27inch step-up from my 22inch was the Cat's Meow. I sit about two feet away from it. I'm sure a 34inch view would blow my mind. When I can afford one next year all that new VR stuff will be in full swing, so it should be an interesting year.

Looks like a sweet monitor. Congrats on the upgrade! I loved having the extra detail when running my PC on a 50" 4K TV. But had to return it due to it not being a very practical purchase with my finances at the moment. I just can't move back in size... I really wish they made bigger monitors in the 1440p verity. I'm thinking my move to a bigger, high resolution monitor is going to be next year.

My only concern is game support, but as far as I know ultrawide monitors let you run unsupported games with black bars on the side which is good enough. I'm probably going to end up with a curved 21:9 3440 x 1440p monitor since Samsung reportedly has a 100 Hz SPVA one in the works, and because 2560 x 1440 high/variable refresh rate monitors are limited to crappy TN and IPS panels.

I have this monitor and it is great! Once I properly calibrated it, the colors were amazing! It is really smooth to game on (BF4). Some people , mostly in Australia and outside of the US and Europe have reported some issues with blue banding and Backlight not turning on fully after coming out of sleep. This has prompted a hardware update that fixes it. Mine is perfect with no dead pixels and no issues what so ever. I understand that any new monitors being sold now have had the new hardware fix already. I reccommend curved if you're sitting fairly close. Good for peripherals... And yes, no native support reverts back to 16:9 and looks just fine. Still1440p. I'll post some pics. Sorry for the late responses

007vsMagua Looks good. The more competition the better. I probably won't be able to afford anything until next year as I'm hoping the competition will drive prices down. Loved Guam, Montana was great for skiing and other outdoor pursuits. The only thing I can remember good about Sheppard was the great Roast Beef sandwiches available in Wichita Falls. Happy Veterans Day
Just saw this! Ohhh good ole witichta falls.... Best decision I've ever made though. Just got orders to Japan!!! I'll get stuff at great prices and send it all to the EVGA community. And maybe a small Asian woman to cook and clean for you...per request.
Japan sounds great. Don't forget hot baths and backrubs.

007vsMagua Looks good. The more competition the better. I probably won't be able to afford anything until next year as I'm hoping the competition will drive prices down. I did see a Dell go on sale last week, but it's still a big chunk of change, and I'm also waiting to see what the next generation of cards will look like. It will be good too hear other real time reviews of all the next generation monitors. Thanks_D PS_ I did some time at Sheppard, Malmstrom, Anderson, and of course Lackland some time ago, in an age where time stopped for many. I wanna see that dell with a higher refresh rate and gsync. Dell is my preferred brand of displays as I own the U3011. Woulda pulled the trigger on the acer x34, but decided to give it some more time cause more competition over time means lower prices for a better display. Still feel I have lots of life in my U3011 as well.
