Just wondering what peoples' experience here as been with B-Stock items purchased off evga's website.. I bought a 980Ti Superclocked 4995 model for a great price and was hoping it stands a good chance at being a great product.  I see it only has a 1yr warranty but can it still do the evga stepup program (havent bought nvidia in years so im not sure evga even still does the stepup program???)  anyways, whats yall's thoughts on b-stock here... thanks

No it can't do the step up program, it's a used item
Honestly I would have just sucked it up and spent the extra $100 to get a brand new one with the 3 year warranty

    Hey there,

B-Stock Products are units which may have small scratches, small dents, or noticeable use which are Factory Recertified to meet or exceed the performance of a new product of the same model. These products do not come with any accessories and include a 1 year limited warranty.

Straight from the main page of the B-Stock.  You'll be good.

B-Stock items do not qualify for Step Up, MrImSoGood was right with that one.  It's only for KR products that were purchased from a qualifying reseller.

thank you Erik... I did read that on the website, rolling the dice and hoping my 2 980Ti's will be ok... Appreciate the feedback.  Glad to be back with eVGA again, and back to the NVidia side

I've had cards out of b-stock that were far better than my retail cards haha. Just goes to show it's always the luck of the draw!

I've had many b-stock items with no issues. I wouldn't be worried. You made a good choice.

What would you step-up to anyway?  A Titan X?  I don't think Pascal will be out before the time limit is exceeded.

You cannot step up a B-Stock item.

Cant wait  ...  Just got my email comfirmation from eVGA saying my pair of 980Ti's shipped and my 1200 P2 PSU shipped.. Once i catch a few days off from my Fire Dept and i have some free time, i cant wait to break down my GPU loop and install my FCWB's on both cards, and start playing.. Hoping for a nice speed boost coming from the R9 290 cards..  Thanks everyone

I know that.  That wasn't what I was saying.  I was saying he bought a 980 ti asking and then asked if its eligible for step up.  My question was (even if it was eligible) what would he want to step up to?  The only option would be Titan X.

Titan X isn't available for stepup anyway, so he wouldn't be able to step up to anything.

I would recommend testing the new b-stock cards with their stock air cooler before you tear them apart and put waterblocks on them. Not that b-stock are necessarily bad... I would recommend the same for a new card. It's always better to make sure you don't have any issues with the cards before investing all the time into installing waterblocks. That way it is easier to test the cards one at a time and replace a defective card if you find any problem with it. Also, it will let you know if you made a mistake installing a waterblock if it works fine before a waterblock install and has issues after a waterblock install.

Agree with Ty_ger there, it is always better to be safe, anything I get that is not natively water cooled I always test THOROUGHLY before taking apart and going to water, or something more drastic.  We do our best to make sure every part you get is a great product, but nobody is perfect and with electronics, sometimes stuff can just happens, which is why there is a warranty, and a surprise happening when on air is a LOT better than a surprise when you are on water.

LIES!    I don't think anyone actually "likes" breaking down their loops.  LOL.  Congrats on the Ti's!  Its going to destroy your old 200s.

    WOW that's great package GTX980Ti SLI + EVGA 1200 P2.
Best performing 1200W on the world. GTX980Ti is about 80% stronger than R9-290.
