SRBase is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers trying to solve Sierpinski / Riesel Bases
up to 1030. The project is in collaboration with the Mersenne CRUS project. SRBase has 10 sub-projects, which
is very nice when you are on the hunt for your next "WUProp-star". The invitation code for creating a new
account is pillepalle

It is a bummer that SRBase Tasks put the GPU Tasks in Waiting Mode to run.
They should fix this sooner that later. Can you pass this on CR1962 aka CR62

    I have no idea.
Under normal circumstances BOINC projects are open for participation by anybody
who wants to contribute their computer to the project. There may be times, however,
when a project needs to limit the creation of new accounts.

bcavnaugh, I believe rebirther did it to prevent spammers. That way people without certain credit requirements could still post in the forums. However, I don't know how effective that was. It was not the intent to keep legitimate crunchers out. And I do not know if BOINCStats has a way to create accounts with the invite codes pre-assigned ahead of time. However, once you have an account created at the project, you should be able to tell BOINCStats to find your account and attach your computers like normal.

Am I right to assume I should turn off HT for this project?
X5650 @ 4.1GHz HT on running "Sierpinski / Riesel Base - average" and the first 50% only takes 20mins but the second 50% takes ~2Hrs. That doesn't seem right... it takes as long as a 2.2GHz Opty. :/

    The Banshee: Ryzen 5 5600 @ 4.65GHz 1.25V, CPU + 2X GPU Custom loop w/ 360mm & 240mm rads, Asrock X370 Taichi, 2X GTX 780 Ti SLI, EVGA 1300 G2, WD Blue 1TB (main storage), Corsair Force LS 120GB (OS Drive), Fractal Design Arc XL, 2X8GB G.skill Trident Z @ 3200 C14

so you are the leader in this list.

I had to drop Sierpinski / Riesel Base - short v0.02 due to Error while computing on my 4P and also did the same on my 2P.
For some reason AMD or AMD Opteron (sixteen-core) Model 6274 and Amd Opteron (sixteen-core) Model 6272 cannot run them. My Intel CPU's run them fine.

Abort by user can be a generic "error" used by admins as there are limited error options available in the BOINC server software. IIRC some projects use that even when the server sends an abort due to not needed. I know it doesn't make sense to use that one for it, but it does occur. Nothing to be real concerned about. Unless of course you have tiered data usage like I have. then it is just a waste of resources.

And thanks for the heads up on the 6274's as I haven't ran any on mine yet.

Still putting my GPU Tasks in Waiting to Run Status

Each GPU is running its own task that is Each GPU is only running one work unit per GPU for a total of 4 Task and 4 GPUs.

I would not recommend this project if you run both CPU and GPU Projects on the same computer. It is for the most part a Hit & Miss.
This is NOT an issue if you are also Folding on the Same Computer.
    Sorry CR

How many GPU's are in that box? The screen shot shows 2 GPU work units running. And are you running more than one work unit per GPU?

Can you not see Four Cards? Two cards are put in Waiting Status because of the SRBase CPU Task.
Each GPU is running its own task that is Each GPU is only running one work unit per GPU for a total of 4 Task.
This is why I posted this info.
On my Titan Rig I was running ONE Titan and SRBase put it in Waiting Status as well.
I have a lot of GPUs.

No, because your screen shot only shows the work units and the details are cut off even. So, you can't see where the work units are assigned. Unless, I'm going blind there is no indication from the picture as to how many GPU's are in the rig. That is why I asked. Just because two work units are in "Waiting to run" status doesn't mean there are idle cards in the box... That is why I had to clarify its behavior.

Are your work units really that close to their deadline? I believe SRbase gives 4 day deadlines for their work. That may be the problem as they may be going into "panic mode" even though they don't say they are running in high priority. BOINC by default will pause all other resources in favor of CPU work to complete on time. Does that sound like the behavior you are experiencing or is there something odd about the work units themselves?
