Looks like NVIDIA decide to earn more per crippled GP102 than last year. Because of that they sell alone. Now is time to pay for their greed and earn 25% of planned. If someone ask 1200$ and decide to cut down even that chip I think that deserve complete ignorance. I was so excited when I saw news for new TITAN Pascal and click on link and after I checked price and specification I didn't open any other link with TITAN Pascal. But because NVIDIA sell them alone I think they expect less profit and want to keep option and earn money only from people who don't care what they pay only to be newest and most expensive, without any comparison with other cards and how many percent of chip really work.

Maybe they plan to launch immediately after Vega better full TITAN as usually. They are smart, if they keep same price people will jump from happiness because they pay only 1200$ for full chip, don't even need to be HBM2. But NVIDIA have 3 months space to earn something more with their manipulation as usually... crippled and than full. 2 launch dates, 2 hypes, they don't need to wait whole year. But some people talk other story... They thought if they NVIDIA hurry with Volta immediately in 2017, probably in the middle. They think Volta is almost over and ready with big improvements as well. Radeon fans hope NVIDIA hurry because AMD will launch better card, Vega. But there are more chance to Vega work as GTX1080 than something more. AMD no power for competition in same year any more. They could launch same power but 18-24 months later.

I'm honestly willing to bet that HBM2 won't be on any consumer pascal card. We'll have to wait till Volta. On top of that, some people were questioning if HMB2 would even help Pascal other than lower power consumption as memory overclocks on Pascal show little to no gain. AKA HMB2=hype train

Sajin I just want a fully enabled chip.
That makes two of us. (Or just buy the P6000 Quadro LOL) With AMD not releasing their Vega based GPU until 2017 we may not see a fully enabled chip this year. I do plan on going GTX 1080 or 1080 SLI in the laptop though in the meantime. Fury X will stay in the desktop until HBM2 based cards are out. bee144 willing to bet that HBM2 won't be on any consumer pascal card. We'll have to wait till Volta. I think we will see HBM2 based Titan at least in 2017. If not AMD's Vega will most likely have HBM2 anyways.

When I say full enabled chip I'm talking about having all its cuda cores. I couldn't care less about the double precision part. Without fully enabled DP card is crippled .............Period

Hahaha. I'm a gamer. DP isn't needed. I know you guys don't need it. I don't hold my breath but I'm wondering if they ever will bring DP to consumer card or we will have to go to Tesla

DP was option only for first time, to NVIDIA justify 1000$ as highest price ever seen for single graphic card. HD5970 was about 600$, dual graphic card from highest class. Now I would be happy to mid class single cost 600euro. AMD is culprit as well, but mostly NVIDIA for so high prices.

The original Titan and Titan Black had proper double precision performance. They were the first and last of their kind where a gamer card got full DP performance. Titan X and Titan X Pascal do not have the same capabilities and the OG Titans are still the fastest at DP on consumer end cards (gaming cards).

So you can get two "low end" 1080's for the price of one of these. Man that $1,000 price tag would have made more sense even if they aren't marketing to gamers only.

Let's be honest here. This is basically Nvidia selling a GTX 570 for $1200.00. ...After they realized we'd be willing to pay $700 for a GTX 560 Ti.

Crimson AL Interesting video...he calculates what the fire strike score might be, etc.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLjjUVXLqMM
I have seen this a few times and that where i get the 20-25% faster than 1080 from his calculations with the teraflops. but maybe the huge memory bandwidth will help in 4k gaming. Hopefully some gaming benchmarks come out before the 2nd or better yet a review. the only benchmarks I was able to find so far. http://videocardz.com/627...n-x-pascal-hit-the-web

That does make the difference between the titan xp and 980ti look nice at like 40-50% thereabouts, without factoring in the cost of the xp and the value per $.

rumor is 60% above Maxwell titan x (similar to 980ti) so I would expect real world to be about 50%, which is in line with their estimates.

Tesla only for DP as it stands now. The Quadro cards didn't get DP increase over consumer cards this time. DP means AMD right now, even if the rest of their performance won't cut it as Nvidia focuses on the Cuda and OpenCL drivers.

Anyways when can we expect some numbers ? Because the only thing that will make me buy that card is if i can launch a scud missile with it...

You gotta be baffled like me. Why would anybody order such product without even knowing the potential performance gain. We knows it's going to be the king but by how much? Is it worth the 1200$usd? For me if it's 60% stronger than my Titan X maxwell then i'll check it wheb hydro version come out (if they do) but otherwise, they can keep it. I'm pissed at how they "outed" the product and how little info we got to decide..
