Nvm, found it. These benchmarks mean nothing... Plus they're using different cuddn versions and the rest is pure speculation.

Yeah the original link broke or something, I updated it.  Yeah nothing new though.  But something to read while we wait.

I'm not even going to buy one but do want to see how it does so it's why I look.

Well I was trying to figure out how much faster the titan x is than the 1080 by comparing the 1070 vs the 1080. 1080 has about 33% more cuda cores/3% more boost clock speed/about 39% more tflops/25% more memory bandwidth. the 1080 is about 25-30% faster then 1070 in 4k.

Titan x vs 1080 40% more cuda cores/ 50% more memory bandwidth/13% slower boost clock speed/24% more tflops.
I would say they titan xp would only be about 15-20% faster stock to stock.

If they sell that product twice as much for a 20% perf upgrade they have some big cojones. Where the hell is amd... We need competition, otherwise they'll keep tagging their product with those ridiculous prices..

Customers are guilty, not NVIDIA. I don't know someone who will ask 40% lower price if could profit more.
But customers are part in deal who should say No is enough, or they will go forever up.
Everything for now was OK, even TITAN X give nice improvements and people who payed 1000$ get proper graphic with full potential, much more memory and much more performance, OK. First time after TITAN Z this is stupid and from part of performance and price and card is optimized to work slower.

I'd say it's a combo. Yea nvidia knows that they have customers ready to drop the dough on a 1200$usd card that's why they price it that way. On the other hand there's also the fact that AMDead has NOTHING on the high performance side. If they would have a 1080 contender priced lower than the 1080 nvidia couldn't price their new titan that high. But since it's a no show on amd's side well nvidia, which has more that 70% of the market from what i recall, has even more market potential right now. AMDead needs to do better so we folks that want to buy nvidia products can also benefit from a healthy competition.

I was hoping there would be some more news on Vega 10 but it seems AMD is playing their usual "just wait we will have something really awesome soon" game :( For the time being AMD is only competitive in the $200 or less market with the RX 480 8g being 15% slower than 1060 that goes for $250.

I am pretty sure this Titan xp will be very very disappointing come next Tuesday making the 1080 gtx the only good choice for upgrading this year :(

Still nothing 24hours away from launch. This smells fishy. Either it's a big let down or nvidia doesn't even care cuz they've got the crown no matter what right now.

I think they are just wanting people to buy them before a review comes out, I think you get 30 days to return the product for a refund if the box isn't opened.

There was nothing before the 1080 released. Did people forget that already? NDA doesn't lift until cards are released. This isn't a new thing. Midnight tonight or 9am tomorrow is the common for the full NDA release.

Yea crimson i just saw it. So it's more or less 40% faster than my Titan X. Ouch. I think i'll have to get one. Changed my mind :(. Still, no hydro version from AiBs, this is a bit of a bummer.

That's what I was doing (except comparing it to my 980ti (well I have 2)) but still not enough to push me over the edge.

Can't imagine Nvidia releasing a 1080 ti tbh if those results are true
If scored 25k on my gtx 1080 in firestrike before, 27k does't seem much higher.

I read that the new titan x is cpu bound and is going to bottleneck with old cpu's. Do I have to upgrade my Old system to run this thing. I'm still on a i7 3700k @ 3.50GHz and have an intel Z77 ivy bridge Board?

As Videocardz quoted from that article:

"TITAN X goes on sale tomorrow, but no one really knows how fast is it. Does NVIDIA really expect people to pay 1200 USD without knowing what they are paying for?"

In Reality with tax and shipping costs from The Nvidia Store, it's more like 1300 USD.

Yes, and people will, because it is the Titan X and that is what they want. 95% of people buying it have no reason to, but I bet you will see the following sentence: "I bought a Titan x(p), and I am not getting the performance I expected with a (insert old Intel or any AMD cpu) . Please help!"
