OMG, KB3035583 came back again this morning. I hid it once again. This thing is like a Zombie. It keeps coming back from the dead to haunt me. 
Yeah, I saw that one pushed again and in the "Recommended" section this time. Anyone with updates set to auto will get it installed without knowing. I think I've hid that one 3 or 4 times now this year.
That's the thing that bothers me the most. I have 'Recommended Updates' disabled but this one keeps getting through some how.

That's the thing that bothers me the most. I have 'Recommended Updates' disabled but this one keeps getting through some how.
I keep Winows update completely disabled on every PC I maintain. Then I manually run check for updates usually Tue night or Wed morning to see if there are any security updates. If there are, then I do the same process on all PC's I take care of and only install those updates. Nothing related to Win10. It's an extra pain, but since MS is not to be trusted, I see no other choice.

I only set Windows Update to 'Never check for updates(not recommended)' when I am Folding through the night. I started to notice warnings in the Folding client about losing connection with the server at the same time that Windows checks for updates around 3:00 am.

This is not new, go look up shellbags and index.dat. Windows has been keeping tabs on it's users since XP.
Heck the registry has been tracking users since 9x, but it was not until XP that it became a problem. Now were have this, among many other things...

I got a different telemetry update this morning listed as optional. I hid it as usual and hope it won't come back: KB3123862
The suspicious update was lacking in its description so I hid this one too: KB3135445
The complete list should be located here for all the current KB's which are enabled for telemetry. You may want to add those others to your list as well. This particular script on the site can be used to remove them completely. I've used it before and just added the additional for my clients systems.

I have my own personal document with all of the telemetry updates in it and it keeps growing. Whenever MS tried to sneak one past me I post it here for everyone else to add it to their never-never list.

Someone decided to setup a system to detect and show that Microsoft is certainly tracking your systems even if/when the telemetry updates are disabled. Certainly an interesting read. He set it up to track all the servers that Microsoft is connecting to when they are 'not' tracking you.

I'll give this a try one of these days. I see you already added that last one I put up. I think I nipped all of these in the bud already but running this .bat file should let me know for sure. I have a .bat file that will clean out all of the errors and warning from your Event Viewer history if anyone is interested. I didn't write it but it was posted as freeware and works after you clean out these two Folders in your RAC Folder. 'PublishedData' and 'StateData' Folders.

what do I have to do to get rid that nagging W 10 upgrade crap all the time ?
I used GWX Control Panel to get rid of that stuff, it does the job.

@Zuhl3156, this thread is great! I am so glad people have been coming together to track these types of "updates" down and posting them here. This is very important to me because my new computer parts arrive here on Friday, Saturday (18th and 19th). I will be installing Windows 7 Pro on this new build and I intend on ignoring these updates as I update Windows 7 and setting it to update NEVER and I will pick and choose manually which to update. Would you do me the courtesy of either pm'ing me your complete up to date list here on the EVGA forums or just replying here with it so I can print out a copy and have it handy for when I upgrade my rig and install/update my new copy of Windows 7? Thank you all who contributed to this thread and thank you in advance Zul3156! :)
