I noticed on amazon, best buy, evga's website, and newegg, that only the founders edition shows up.
Is this the only version that will be sold on the 27th, or is it possible there will be other versions ?

Its possible. but no official sources are saying anything afaik beyond some will be ready soon. We'll know by this time tomorrow.

From all the leaks that are coming out today of the custom coolers, it seems to be they are all using the ref board with 1x8 pin and just using different coolers. So that is great for temps, but no extra headroom for power and overclocks.
It seems like the custom boards with extra power are further away and essentially what we are getting starting tomorrow is Founder cards with the ref board, and custom cards with the Founders ref board and just custom coolers....

That may be true.... but the cards that have been sent to reviewers so far are only the custom boards with 1x8pin SC version. If they had the custom boards ready with more power they surely would have sent those? I think the wait is going to be longer for custom boards with more power and custom coolers.

Maybe they did. I only saw SC benchmarks. They might give us FTW info tomorrow. Its still under NDA. I bet they have Hybrids also with the same board as FTW I also heard that the fans on the FTW are slightly larger then the SC so the cooler is a bit bigger too.

I think that only the FE's will be available. If you look on any online retailer, they already have GTX 1080 FE's available from all the AIB partners ready to be sold once the NDA lifts. One would think that if they were going to also be selling any of the other versions that they'd be listed. On top of that, lots of hardware reviewers were sent FE 1080's over the last few weeks, but there's only been one person so far who admits to apparently getting a hold of a FTW or SC.
I'm guessing we're a few weeks out from non-FE's at least.
