Yes it is! Too many discounts of 40% or less. Really needs to be 60% or better to entice most of my purchases.

I found a few games. But I agree, the last two or three sales have been lackluster and the deals weren't always that great.

Thing is Steam prices are usually the most expensive even when there are sales on games. The competition is able to sell the same game for less and make margins because Steam's margin is too damn high. I rarely ever buy games on Steam and it's been this way for years.

Already bought everything I wanted on previous sales, so yeah the last 4-5 sales have been boring to me.

I went cheap. I picked up the following. Firewatch Alice: Madness Returns Brothers: Tale of Two Sons Heard all 3 are pretty good games and just never got to playing them. Been playing Firewatch for 3hrs and something different for a change. I am digging it.

I did pick up Far Harbor for Fallout 4. I was watching my son and a friend playing it. Looked better than the main game...

I use the the steam sales to mostly buy games i already owned, so i don't have to keep getting the old disks out. Also these games are usually only a buck or two on the sale days so works for me.

I only buy stuff I had a slight interest in when it came out, but didn't want to pay full price. I haven't been looking for massive discounts.
I got the Quake collection, Battlezone Remastered, and one or two other small games.

I picked up Doom, Half life collection, 3d mark and a few others. Their sales are always mediocre. Just depends on what games you have already. I got Skyrim legendary edition and the civilization 5 packs dirt cheap in prior sales. I just wait for the right combo of discounts and price drops over time.

I want Doom myself. Waiting for the bargain bin though. I have no interest in the MP portion and would only like to play the CP.

A friend purchased Doom for me after I upgraded his RAM to fix his PC.. I absolutely love that game! But I am not touching this sale.. Nothing worth my time in there just yet.

Well... In the end I purchased about 15 games total.
So maybe not such a snoozer after all. Or, I just like to collect games that I'll probably never get the time or chance to actually play.

I like Doom, but find the constant fight a bit much...and some of the bosses annoy me..greatly.

Yeah the real deals are over at greenmangaming.com and year round. You can typically get anything there $15-20 cheaper than on Steam.
