Hello:  Is there anyone running a 900 series graphics card in a Dell XPS 8700 computer.  Would like to upgrade if possible.  If so have you had any issues as far as working correctly or fitting into case?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Pretty much depends on your PSU?
If it's above 550w then you should be able to with the new dell bios A10.

Thanks for the quick reply Tropickz.  I Just updated to A10 and need to update PS, it's 460w.  I would like to know if this has truly fixed the issues with the Dell, before making a sizable investment in the card.
    Thanks again for your help!

For manufactured builds, its hard to say since everything is locked down usually and troubleshooting is a pain. Probably be a gamble until you try it or someone else has it working flawless.

It can be very difficult to troubleshoot issues with a pre-built computer, especially given that they go out of warranty and out of service relatively quickly. The only things that would really be blocking you from getting a GTX 750/970/980 working are BIOS updates for the motherboard and available power from the power supply. Updating the BIOS is recommended, but may not always fix the problem.

Thanks very much for the input everyone.  I think I will update the PS to 650w and go with the 970.  Does anyone have experience with the 970 in Sony Vegas Pro 13?
    Thanks again!
