I recently bought an EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G1 Power Supply and when I hooked up my pc, I hit the power button and got nothing, no fans spinning, no lights, or anything else. Now to make sure I used the adapter that came with the psu to try and "jump" it. However nothing happened when I did this as well. So I guess my main question is, is it dead?

Did you plug the 24 pin connector in the correct way? The 24 pin uses the same connector on both ends, but they are not a 1 to 1 pinout. So if you put the 24 pin in backwards then you will have voltage on pins you shouldn't or 12 volts where you should have 3.3 volts and so on. Make sure the end with the 24+4 is at the PSU and the 24 pin with 27 wires is plugged into to motherboard. They should be labeled PSU an MB on the connectors.
