Hi all,

I have a question.

I understand a motherboards serial number is printed on the motherboard and its box. I was wondering if this is also written electronically to the bios chip during manufacture? As I am replacing my bios chip after a bad flash, I was wondering if this will also change my electronic serial number.

Many thanks,
Vidya

IMO the serial number should never be on a BIOS as these chips can be replaced or updated all the time.
