Well my laptop is listed below, but its an A8 4500, with HD 7640G, 8gb of DDR3 1600 and Windows 8, so I know it can do some light gaming. I got it used with a bad Hard Drive so I shoved a spare SSD into it, now 128gb isn't alot of space, I've got a Seagate USB 2.0 1.5tb drive, its SATA 3 internally, so I was thinking of buying a USB 3.0 cage, but would this be fast enough to load games off of for when I'm away such as at work on lunch, or visiting someone out of state?

Yes USB 3.0 is fast enough for a mechanical hard drive.

Make sure your host OS is Windows 8 as it has significantly better performance for USB storage.
