Here is my current set up. In order to get to 4.7Ghz I had to up the Vcore to 1.315 but I think it automatically adjusted it to like 1.328 because it is running @ 1.328 =X I still think this is pretty dang good for my i5-2550K using only a Hyper 212+. If I had a better HSF or a water cooling set up I would go higher but I may stop the pushing and play with it at like 4.5Ghz. I already surpassed my first and primary goal of reaching passed 4.0Ghz which I could barely do with my AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. I am loving this intel set up! THANK YOU ELITEGEEK AND KRAM!! =P During IntelBurn test with 20 passes and on High I was able to run it with out the temps exceeding past 62C. Which is WAY lower then I have been told to watch out for! So even with this Hyper 212+ I think I could possibly peak to 5.0Ghz. Should I try?

Hmm up to you bro.. IF you do so, set the CPU voltage to 1.5v before evening going to 50 multiplier. Then reboot. If it crashes, then set the voltage to 1.48 (I forgot what the max voltage is that the mobo will let work), then set the multi to 50, and all those other voltage settings to Ultra or whatever it is.

Yeah. At the moment by the way the only things I adjusted for this overclock is basically just the Multiplier x47 and the Vcore. I of course have my ram set manually but only to the stock speeds/voltage. Is there anything else I need to adjust in order to get a more stable overclock? Such as like NB Frequency/voltage and/or SB Frequency/voltage. Or is all I need to adjust is the Multiplier and the Vcore.

Well I'd set the voltage to 1.5v, and set the multi to 50. If it crashes, I hope you know where that little blue jumper is. Right? Incase you gotta reset the bios. Also it'd be good to save your current bios profile, so if you crash it, then have to reset, it'll still be saved. I'd MAKE SURE to save your bios since you like it right now. And yeah, if it crashes with 1.5v, and 50 multi, then you'll have to do some more serious tweaks to the NB, etc.

But one will have to go later down the road. And actually no I do not know where the cmos clear pins are at the moment but I am sure if it comes down to it it will be easy to spot.

Ahh cool deal. Yeah it sucks when it locks up, and you lose a perfect bios haha. And okay, it's a blue plastic pin towards the bottom right of the board. Like under the SB I believe.. There will be 3 pins sticking out. The blue plastic thing is on the left two pins. If it locks up. Shut down the rig, and either unplug the PSU, or flip the PSU switch, move the jumper to the right two pins, and you should hear a little noise flicker, then move the jumper back to the left two, and boot. It should be all default settings then.

if you want super good temps on a 212+ get a pwm delta and smack it up there (with a fan grill ) and set it to be silent at idle and to ramp up when gaming etc. I did that before I had my loop and got load temps almost as good as my loop now just a heck of a lot more quite.

More quiet than your loop? Or you mean the loop is more quiet? Jw. And haha, 7970 rules.

Pretty nice set up you have! You sound pretty happy with it and that's all that matters. That hyper's not a bad lil cooler. Congrat's on your new set up.

Yeah if I could afford to get another Cooler Master Blade Master i would but at the moment my funds are fully gone. Still have some items for sale but might not sell quickly. Got 2 2000RPM Sickle Flows on my Hyper 212+ now.

I have a couple of ximatech 120's that are pwm that you could have if you want. I got them for free so i would pass them on for free. I would offer you the blademaster of the delta from my 212+ which is sitting around doing nothing right now but the blademaster is super good and I need the delta for the dell from once it came

Had it stable at 5.0Ghz but I was not liking the temps when r unning intelburn and prime95. No TOO high in temps but I just didn't like it. Currently testing at 4.8 with a Vcore of 1.35. Temps are looking nice. 53 56 57 55.

Nice Rig =) I have 2550K also, I'm at 4.750 (raised the bus to 101 for giggles) with 1.365 volts in bios. I'm happy with it =) Maybe I'll try beyond when I get my watercooling stuff going.

Same with watercooling stuff =P. I was able to hit 5.0 but didn't test for I was worried temps would get to high using a Hyper 212+. But Im getting a XSPC WC system this week and will be testing my chip as far as I can go with it. =P
