With Kabylake being released Q1 of 2017, does that mean Cannonlake will be pushed back till mid/late 2018?

The 6700K showed only ~%30 gains above a 4820K. If the 7700K shows a higher gain, I'll consider to jump on it.

Price $349 looks on par. i7-7700k supposedly 4.2GHz with 4.5GHz boost out of the box with 95W TDP. Not a huge gain based on those specs alone. Didn't see max memory bandwidth, or if i7-7700k will have integrated graphics.. Intel 600 series maybe? No GDDR5 yet but supports GDDR4. Still LGA-1151 socket so no changes there which is good. Some reports say this will the last of the 14nm generation, next gen will be the 10nm, and I'm guessing a new socket to come with it. My Z97 + i7-4790k may keep me running for another year or more yet, I'll likely sit this one out.

I'll wait and see what the following gen after this one brings, then.
