This completely slipped my mind when signing up for this contest. I have 2 slightly dated Mac servers (2P Dual core, 2P Quad core) that are getting almost no use. I could fire these up for the team, but this would be some major sandbagging on my part, probably more than doubling my already estimate exceeding production. I don't want to be unfair or anything, but I would certainly like to help out the team.

Who knew Macs could be useful? 

DO IT! they are not penalizing anyone for going above their predicted limit now. 

 
It might take me a bit to get it all running correctly. I have never used the Mac folding clients. Currently trying InCrease, but if anyone has some suggestions on another, shoot.

well the 3820 is sitting at 4.5 ghz right now. Temps are pretty nice no core past 71c. Gotta love the h100...LOL Ya know what's even better. I can fold will all 8 threads and with the 2 580's. Don't need to limit SMP folding to 7 threads. there are no dips in the usage. I've been watching afterburner and have the graph out the length of my screen. So NICE!

Ok got my main rig folding, got my dads 2600K folding, and putting back together my older quad core 635 to get it folding.. Ill have 1 pc folding 24/ 7 if I can get this one to work and 2 that will fold maybe half the day. I will try to get a couple other rigs up and running but not sure if I have enough components to do so.. 

might want to check your mirrors , looks like some fast and furious folders are on your tail ;)

I've come up with a little award of sorts for the most dedicated team member, The person that's shown the most dedication and effort, in their folding, in their Frankenstein-ing efforts of putting something together to get out more points, folding 24/7 even though it's beyond their limits or pushing their limit (pushing GPUs or CPUs and things getting noisy and hot and so on) even the heckling if it gets a few laughs.
 
That person or persons will get awarded to them a Certificate of Insanity as certification that Folding Madness and Ins@nity took a hold of them.

Ah, but you'll find I changed all the locks before you did this, and I've got the only key.

You say this but you still have no clue as to how I got my hands on the key last time. I have my distractions, *shakes her pom poms*.

I didn't find the key last time by being cheeky. But then I'm often screwing with the Maniac Captain so you never know where I might come to find it.

It will take a bit longer, but I will have these things going for the team. They required a bit more work than I expected, so I had to wait until the weekend.

Actually, while typing this, the slower Mac server grabbed its first WU. So looks like we are on our way.

 
Hehe nice. We need a lot of folding right now. I know my numbers aren't that hgih but we gotta get back in 2nd place! =D

i was trying to keep to my plan of fold hard last weekend and cruise all week with my normal folding rig. i had dropped down to 1 client to average out my ppd to what i predicted. but since we are in need and losing 2nd, i turned on some of my heaters this morning to help catch us back up.

 
DOOOOOOOOOOO IT! LoL they changed the ruling.. Doesn't matter what you predicted now. Fold on Fold Hard! =P Lets catch back up to Mads!

Thanks to eabarlan over in the folding help forums, the Mac servers are finally up and running. I was excited just to get them working, but based on the early tpf info, I am looking at <10kppd combined from both of them. I expect the 2p Quad to average out higher now that I am not longer toying with it. If not, any amount still helps. Just to clarify, these are Xeon processors from the Core2Duo/Quad gen, so no hyper-threading or bigadv.

Awesome stuff team! Just saw we are back in 2nd place! =P I have been running my old 635 24/7 and my new 1090t when ever I am not playing BF3. How ever I think i am having issues with my 1090t and folding. Not sure if its a hardware issue or a software issue. My F@H V2 Tracker keeps doing the, This program has stop working, error. Has me a bit confused. 

 
You might want to try a fresh install of the F@H V2 Tracker if you haven't already. Worked for me on my gaming PC.
