I think we secured 3rd place! ^^..
well, escob4r, you have to make up your mind soon :).. when the new gtx 660 and gtx 670 (prob out in april), prices on old graphic cards will drop :/..
But i pray for a 560 ti too, i need the upgrade (only have a GTS 450) ^^.. so would be amazing! :D
Yeah I know. At the moment one of my cards is still returnable. So after the contest is over or nearing the end I may just take it back for a store credit of 200 bucks. And see what comes of this. I am trying to plot and plan to get an intel rig. Maybe sell off my 1090t and asrock 990fx Extreme 4 and hopefully be able to pay for an intel set up that is a bit better then this.

Well it's nearing the end of the contest only a few days left. I've decided who will get a Certificate of Insanity for their enthusiasm in hunting down, nose in closet and doing what ever they can to get more points even if just a little.
To be honest I couldn't decide on just one person so 2 people will get a Certificate of Insanity, a little in team token and reminder of this 2012 Folding Madness contest and team Ins@nity F@Holders.
On another note, I've been at the forums for a year now it's a great place, I've met some great people and made some new friends.
Yep I arrived here and strolled into the Maniacs thread in the last days of last years Madness Contest and cheered them on and heckled along with that crazy Madrias, who was indeed happy to have his GF by his side.
I'm still waiting for the 450 to arrive so it won't help with this contest but it will help me get to 2 million by May 9th, I started folding 9th May 2011.

First i want to say NICE! ^^.. i have been on the forum a lot lately, mostly because that i feel welcome in here now :).. in the beginning it was just a bunch of random people, and was hard to get real conversations going!.. so yea now i learned some people to know and that makes it easier to be here ^^.. i am an EVGA member and i am proud!.. Hope you will make it to your target by that date Shykal! :).. I have a goal of my own.. Reaching 1mil at the 1st of April! :) then i can join the millionaire club ;) i had about 200k points before the 1st of March, so i have come a long way this month! :D

Well had a lot of crap going on at home. Physical therapy today yada yada. I had my one rig running all day everyday this month but I have been tinkering with my main rig. Well my only rig really. Still need to try and sell the other one off or maybe this one or something, I don't know what I am going to do at this point. I am going to stick it out with the 2 560's for now and see where I stand come April as far as keeping my rig SLI'd or returning the one card I can still return for store credit and maybe save it for when the 660's or 670's drop? I uono yet. I could also consider using that to upgrade my case to a full tower Haf X. Not sure if it is worth it though. I could also try for a 120G SSD. I could also try for a Corsair H80 or H100? Not sure to be honest. Still completely lost as to what I should do. Can anyone here tell me if I can reach 4.0Ghz on a Hyper 212+ cooling? If so I may just stick with that. How ever I need to get up the funds to get Diablo 3 when it is released so thats another huge part of play with this whole returning/exchanging my video card ordeal. O well. I hate this. I have been going back and forth back and forth back and forth since I got out of the hospital to Compusa local store. Maybe went there 50 times in about 2 - 3 months time. Kinda retarded. I am still not even sure if using 2 560's SLI is truly worth having. Trying to max my settings out in BF3 is non existent since I only have 1g of vram. Yeah I know. Thing is I already have 2 560's in SLI right now. I am debating on returning the one I just got as a gift, getting store credit, and either saving it for something good or try to figure out a way to go intel. I am currently using an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T and ASRock 990FX Extreme 4 Motherboard. I can barely reach 4Ghz OC and I wouldn't even say its stable. I am not looking to break any records but I wanna be able to fool around enough to where I can maybe hit 4Ghz rock solid and play around higher. But I am just confused as to whether or not I would see a big difference changing from AMD to INTEL. If I were to jump on the intel bandwagon I would end up having only 1 video card, GTX560SC, which is good but only if I will notice an improvement with performance in games doing so. A buddy of mine was telling me the Bulldozer AMD chips are what is suppose to compete with the i5s and i7 but I highly doubt they even come close to doing that. I uono. Just confused as to what to do at the moment. What I can truly say is I am not that impressed with the overall performance of running 2 560s SLI and I am being told that its my processor which is holding me back still, yet again! Even though I just got this one over my Athlon II 635.

@esCob4r I thought about grabbing a couple GTX 460 1GB gpus and SLI'ing them, but when I looked at the benchmarks I decided not to. A 460 SLI'd is similar in performance to a 570, so I've decided I'll just go buy a 570. I think 560s perform the same as 460s, which to me isn't worth having considering the much higher price tag. You can pick up a 460 for like $125, while a 560 is what? $180 - 200? Definitely not worth it. I'm going to buy a 570 this week to hold me over until the 670/660 2GB cards are released. If I'm impressed I'll step up my 570. I thought about upgrading to an AMD Phenom II X6 actually, but then I won my 2600k (Mod Rigs link). I'm very impressed with the 2600k. I have a mild OC of 4.2GHz and could go much further, but I'm happy with it where its at. My buddy has an AMD Phenom II X6 1050T I believe and he has his OC'd to 3.6GHz. From what I've seen I'm very happy with my 2600k and if I hadn't won my 2600k I would've bought it over the 1090T that I planned on getting. But since you already have the 1090T... I don't know if I'd recommend upgrading. It's entirely up to you though. For what its worth I don't think your 1090T is the problem. I think its your SLI'd 560s. If it was me I'd go for the single card solution with more vram. IstBarP

Thanks for the link. The reason I said next month was because the 670 and 660 is rumored to be released April 4th. I wasn't sure of the previous series launch timelines. After reading lehpron's post I feel better about purchasing a 570 to hold me over and possibly stepping up to a 600 series card whenever they happen to get released.

The GTS 450 arrived a little while ago, I have to wait until my brother is finished with his computer until I can upgrade though so a little while longer until I can use it. Edit: Folding rig is offline for upgrades. I'll still be able to be on the forums via my laptop. I'll still be able to give the Certificates of Insanity to the team members that were chosen.

The builds are done, when I say builds, I used parts from my brothers rig to upgrade mine and with parts left from what I had and bros rig a 2nd rig was built for general use by all. I just have to install the OS and go from there, it was being a bit fussy on powering up but I think that's fixed. Any troubles i have I'll have to try to fix myself and if I can't then my brother will work with me when he gets back from a trip in a week. Onto the Certificates of Insanity, I'll post them up soon. I've dated them for the 31st the end of the contest but i'll put them up soon after this post, as here it's the 31st already.

Well just to let yall know I have my friend staying with me now. It is a long story but my 24/7 is no longer a 24/7. He will be using it randomly to game at times but I will still have most my folding going on there. Hopefully I will soon have my intel set up but who knows. Gotta get stuff in order to do so.

Wow I was not expecting to receive that certificate. Thanks a ton. I am not sure if its do-able, if it is I am not sure how, but either way I would like to share the certificate with everyone on the team for I feel we all deserve this in house victory. We all did an awesome job and I think we all may have gone a little looney during this time! Shykal thank you so much for sticking it out even through the retarded baby momma drama that went down! You kept us punching through walls and knocking out as many PPD as we could. Wrinvert you played a key role while keeping us punching through walls as well during all the drama and during the times we had no drama. You two worked great as Captain and Co-Captain! Werty, if it wasn't for you we probably wouldn't even have had been much competition in this contest. You definitely kicked your folding into gear and kept us in the races! IstBarp you as well. You got your HPCS's moving along and acted like a wrecking crew! Was awesome to see your increase PPD! I can go on and on through out the entire list but instead I will just sum it up and say great work! You guys all did a great job keeping us in the race! I am proud and happy that I was able to take part in this contest especially with you guys. This was my first contest and hope for it not to be my last thanks to you all! The team as a whole supported eachother and didn't let any haters take us down! Great job and lets go all out for the end and try to hit that 800M! =P As I said above I would like to share this certificate with EVERYONE! =P

Sorry Guys and Gal! I went away for a few days. I thought I had my computer on folding, but I actually left it crunching instead  Glad the team kicked butt, but I'm really sorry I let you down. I was sure I had changed it back to Folding $#@#!!!!!! Congrats to the team on a mighty effort though!
