What type of behavior? If it makes the board worse I have time to ship this thing back and just switch to the Asus board I have been eye-balling.

 
If I were you, I would do just what you said, send it back and get the Asus board.

If I were you, I would do just what you said, send it back and get the Asus board.

 
I think you're right. The Asus Rampage is looking MIGHTY sexy right now. This EVGA X79 with tons of USB 3.0 ports that are 100% useless 100% of the time is just retarded. If they would allow me to ship it to them for the DARK version for free, I'd wait and hang in there. I've been a huge EVGA fan for years, but this board shot that.

I got a RIVE and have loved every minute of it by comparison.  Zero issues since day 1.

As much as I would like that. I have had 2 Asus boards go bad over the years, I mean everybody gets a bad one sometime or other.  It's just how they treated me, if they just improved that a little I would never try another board but them. BUT if you get a good one, your looking a a GREAT product! I am glad it worked out for you! Tyan use to be my favorite MB maker but they have all but left he consumer market...  Gigabyte has treated well along with MSI for various products over the years too. I just have that fear with Asus, I EVEN know it's irrational...
