I recently bought an EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0, despite knowing the card is already factory overclocked, I downloaded EVGA precision X and added 150 MHz on both the GPU clock and memory along with increased power target and temp target. My question is, is it alright to leave this overclock whilst gaming at all times? Average gaming time is 2 hrs and not done daily. I found it to be alright since the card barely touches 73 degrees but I wanted an experienced persons opinion on this matter. I'm from the Caribbean where the ambient temp is always soaring lol so that may be a heat factor, with the air conditioning turned on the card performs under load and with that overclock at about 68 degrees.

If software overclocking with Precision X you'll be fine. If the temp is 73 degrees with the overclock that is more than fine. Stability of your system is the most important so if running major benchmarks is fine with the overclock then you have nothing to worry about.
