I've officially started to join the dark side. I say this because as some of you know, I've been an AMD owner in the past. And this will be my second Intel build if you count my X58 micro folding machine. I'm starting a new thread away from my previous thread because this is a major rebuild, and case mod. Speaking of case mod I received the first pieces of my next toy today. Some of you may know right off the bat what I have planned, and for those of you who don't, stay tuned and see. I'll have some more pics of stuff that will be delivered tomorrow. So for now here's what I've got, thanks to the guys at Mountain Mods and Frozen CPU.

Agreed, I wish I could afford one of their cases. I guess I'll just have to settle for a few parts.
I have also decided that the postal service is a pain in the butt. I was supposed to get some parts today by delivery conformation. But they did not show . Hopefully Monday.

Same thing happen to me zophar... I need some more connector pins but, they didn't show up.. Grrrr...

Feser X-Changer 480, and 360 rads. And an XSPC dual day dual loop resevoir for MCP 35x and DDC pumps. I may have to start cutting a case soon just to passify my want to do something. And for anybody who's never seen a 480 radiator all I can say is OMG!!

Let me know what you think of that radgrill. I bought one but on my xspc rad it stuck over the sides so much I thought it looked silly.

Ok, so I'm probably only gonna be able to fit one row of fans on the 480. My question it this, would I get better airflow in push or pull orientation. Or maybe I'm just overthinking that aspect all together and it doesn't matter. IDK.
Also I have a second CPU water block on the way and the brackets for the one I already have. One of my water pumps is inbound as well. Now for that darn tax return to get here. IRS site said I should have it by the 7th. So I'm hoping by the end of the week.

Edit: how did my rad (360) wind up at your place?? must be a postal error....

It won't be a monster as far as some of the upcomming rigs that feature the SRX, but it will be killer in my eyes. At least I hope because with the exception of maybe CPU upgrades and GPU's this will have to last me for several years to come.
 
As far as you radiator ending up at my house, I just thought somebody was being really nice but didn't know my name.

Well, I took the plunge into case modding. I did my first cut on a $250 case. It hurt a little at first but then I said screw it, lets tear crap up. Got the top cut to accommodate the 480 rad. and installed it just to see how things would fit. I'm afraid I may have to do more to the case for my plans. To install the MM mobo tray and back plate I may have to drop the midplate down in the case because of how thick this radiator with a set of fans is. But that is yet to be seen.

The first drive bay being blocked isn't a big deal because my fan controller goes there and doesn't take up hardly any space. May put a blank below the fan controller and then my resevoir and pumps below in the next two spots. Followed by an optional DVD-Rom in the bottom slot.

She is doing better, A couple of her teeth have made it through. And she's over her ear infection. Got my tax return today. Paid a couple people for some parts that will be here in the next couple weeks. Pics to come.
