no.... quick question.. is it wrong to run vdim out of spec.its either.it.loves voltages....but to run a mfg. specs. not ideal.

I see no reason that you would need any more than 1.65-1.67 on that ram. Did it actually bluescreen on you? Too much voltage is just as bad as too little.Usually vtt is what you need to mess with.
You running it @1600, correct?

Ahhh, How can you say "i've got super low v-core" When it won't pass LinX? Really now, you get a new water block, your temps go way down, and you LOWER your v-core? Doesn't make sense to me. Your chip runs cooler so you can give it MORE juice IMO. Have you ever tried OVER 1.4 v-core? You won't kill anything, but gotta give it a try I say anyways.
"IF" it were me, I would give it anywhere between 1.425 and 1.45, but thats just me. 13 pages of attempts and still no luck. You can ALWAYS back it down 1 notch at a time if it passes at those voltages.

roger i understand sgt.
ive attached a photo of 201 baseclock with vdimm way high.. i passed about 6 passes then got errors. should i go straight to 1.4x vcore.. yeah.. dont tread on me about my 13 pages of failed attempt.. i seek any kind of help.. i gives a flying hoohah.. one person says i ned new ram.. another tels me this and that.. sorry but i taken offence to the belittlement of my thread... i take all suggestions as they.come.. one.. the water block is a given. the more i.go.through.with.this.venture.. ppl say i gotta get this and that.. i am just trying what works for me

i can pass linx 20 passes for sure but with 2:6 ratio to the ram...just trying to tighen them... if i can joij the club with 2:6 ratio then so be it
vdimm for 2:6 was at 1.75..

LOL, I'm not treading on you. But you gotta at least give it a try. I would say go down on dimm voltage also. You will not hurt the chip with mid 1.4's on the v-core.1.77 is way too high on the dimm voltage. Just lower that to maybe 1.66 or so, then give it a shot.

You can pass 20 runs @4.2 with a 2:6 divider?

v1ral, I just recommended these to another guy W/WC:
Newegg: G.SKILL Ripjaws + Turbulence II Series 6GB SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000)

These come with fans handy for WC rigs with less airflow near the mem, like yours. (my CPU cooler causes a lot of airflow on the mem)
Corsair is OK, but many ppls like myself have had trouble with them. In order to run my 9-9-9-24 mem at it's rated 1600 I have to use 9-10-9-24. And if I loosen up any more timings I lose available memory (at high CPU OC). Corsair is better than OCZ on EVGA. But then there is the issue W/you already have G.Skill. G.Skill is normally great mem. Oh well that's my $.02.

i sorta have memory in kind. corsair gts 1866 ram.. i am afraid though that my newly acquired ram will be jacked up.. rex and have.tried his settings to no avail.which got him baffle.."these settings should work".. how ever he insists that our stuff is the.same i undersand we have.the.same kind of hardware.. but.there.different in a sense you know.. which got me doing things ive done with my 197 or 4.1 overclock. and came to what i have.with the posted pic. i now what you mean about the acailable memory.thing. i tweak my voltages like that..sorta my method up until now. ive tried upping vtt.. but pc runs weird....
anyways.. sorry sgt.. i am starting to get fustrated with thiw stuff.. i come to think.."all this to join a freaking club?".. i will get there.. i know when i get my new ram i am able to go higher however. seems every dick jane and harry..*no pun intended is telling all these.things... if it leads to ky ram being the problem so be it. but.. i will tweak. even if i loosen timings hardcore for 2:8 ratio..*btw.. the timings for 2:6 was to mfg. specs.

I was surprised to see DDR3 1800 RAM on Newegg, Kingston HyperX BTW. Not relevant, just FYI, shooting the breeze. You could get 2000 for the same price.

If you get 2000 memory, it will ALWAYS run slower if you want, as apposed to getting 1600 and maybe not being able to go UP on the speeds. You DON'T have to run 2000 memory @ 2000.

2:8 would run it @1600, you would need to use 2:10 to rum 2000 with your 201 Bclk.Still try the v-core we talked about along with lowering dimm voltage though. Just may suprize you.

I know if I set ratios it'll run at expected speeds.
Anyways...
I am sorry about earlier..I know I made no sense.. dang virtual keyboard on my phone.. now I am on a proper keyboard.
Anyways.
I will try 1.4 vcore and start over.. as per sgtharry's suggestions.. why not most if not all others have fail.
Some would say I am wasting time.. which I am starting to think I am, but I have Faith... Strong faith in my hardware.. if it means goosing up voltages to make things work then so be it... haha..
