Hey, it is what it is. If you want tru 3d for now, you gotta put up with the glasses. A small price to pay for (did you say) 30" 3d immersion? Sounds like a winner to me. I'd be rockin either crysis or metro at highest settings with that setup!

@gutcheck: How did you change to 120hz? 3D works great on this monitor, but my driver properties only go up to 60hz....do I need to change something else? 275.50 drivers

Q56_Monster yeah I have the new 3d acer:) Cool, just got that myself and liking it a lot! So if you right-click your Windows desktop, select "Screen resolution", then click "Advanced settings", then the Monitor tab - you should see 120Hz as an available section. Are you seeing this? EDIT: I downloaded the current display driver from Acer's web site ( http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers), so that the Acer monitor showed in my hardware display properties. I did this before anything else, so I don't know if it'll fix your problem if you still have it.

No rambler, it doesn't say 120hz. I installed the driver you linked, so then the monitor description went from pnp monitor to Acer HN274H, but still no 120hz?

What drivers and OS are you running? I'm on Win7 64bit and the latest 280.19 beta drivers. Only thing else I can think of is to try changing drivers. If that still doesn't work, I'd be calling Acer support. Hopefully you didn't get a bad monitor?

ok, you're using a DVI cable aren't you? I was using HDMI cable. 120hz works with DVI now. That's strange there would be no 120hz with hdmi

Yeah, I knew about that and should have asked, but forgot. Phew, close one! Glad you got it working. HDMI can't support 120Hz for some reason, but DisplayPort is supposed to be able to.

Hey, before you run out and buy 2 more monitors, please be sure to review the "3D Vision Surround" forum over at Nvidia Forums. You'll be stuck using 270.61 driver for now. The current posts in the 3D Vision Surround give you and idea of the issue(s), and my posts (as djb) will give some more specifics. Don't get me wrong, 3D surround is just frigg'n unbelievable, but be look before you leap on this one. I use 3 X 480 Danger Den'd on my surround machine and built another with 3X 580's HC2 just for another! Also have another Pc with 2 X 470 with a Acer H4360, have to deal with lower native res, but a wall size game in3d is unbelievable. Portal 1/2 is wild. Anyway, heads up on the surround/and specifically -driver- issues. have fun! djb

ok, to get back to my post, finally got all 3 monitors working on 280.19! Had to switch my bridge and sli only cards 1/2. 3D is great, but games that do 3D surround, like Dirt 3, NFS Shift, Just Cause 2 is just unbelievable, anyway, here's the latest on getting my machine back up and running 3d surround on the new drivers. ok, I don't have permission to post a link: so... Go to Nvidia forums>3D Vision Surround>topic: Ghosting on side monitor triple widescreen fixed by swapping connectors. Have fun! Couple other topics in there about some worthwhile 3d surround. When it works, it just plain blows you away.
