When I try to get into a server the first time, it loads for a moment, then kicked me out. No reason given. On the 2nd try, and so on, it loads the map fine, and I can play. Anyone know why that happens?

This has been happening to me for a year and a half. It started after an " update".

Repairing didn't fix the problem either. I'll Google the problem after I play a little bit, and see what I can come up with. Some other players have the same problem after the last update.

I remember it happening to me. For me it was a driver issue. I suggest possibly driver update or re-install.

Drivers were updated at least 2 or 3 times with the newer drivers, and it still happens.

go to top left corner- click the word origin
then scroll down to  'application settings', click  that
go to fourth tab down - 'origin in game', click it
then you can 'uncheck' the box that says 'enable origin in game'

That will stop the overlay from being used while a game is going

Try this...

  1. Go to the Start Menu and enter "services.msc" in the Run/Search bar.
  2. Find "PnkBstrA" and "PnkbStrB".
  3. If the services have not started do so by right clicking both and select and select "start".
  4. Then right click both, click properties and make sure they both are set to start automatically

To restore PnkBstrB use pbsvc then update punkbuster with pbsetup.

Well I have good news, and bad news. Good news is I now have PnkbStrB.

Bad news is I still have the same problem. I also Googled the problem, and did several possible fixes. Like, updating directX, running as Administrator, enabling Origin Client to automatically run in Services, etc. Nothing works. Game closes after about 10 seconds the first try, then loads fine the second time. I feel at this point that it was the last update to Origin or BF4 that caused this. Others have the same problem after the update, that I have read. Thanks for everyone's help. I will just have to live with this minor disruption. Maybe the next update will fix it.

Google the port forwards slots for BF4  .
