Cool GTX
Curious, how much more power & how much hotter.

Temps taken after 4 loops of heaven... One card runs at 62-63c while the other runs at 69-70c. One card used up to 109% power while the other used 118%. One card idles at 25c while the other idles at 28c.

Wow that's quite shocking. It'll make it tough if you're trying to compete in benchmarks, but for game playing I think you're going to be fine. Call it a hunch.

Well I got my other card today. Works good but it runs hot and uses more power than my other card which gives it zero room to overclock. I tried reapplying the tim on the card and it didn't help drop the temps.

Got 180 fps in heaven benchmark with the cards at stock clocks.

For Rig #2 in my sig.  This is for a single Titan XP with stock clocks on a 4K monitor.  My idle temp is 30C, even when surfing the web (using Chrome).  Running through Heaven temps top out at 66C and average FPS is 38.6.  Running through Valley temps top out at 66C and average FPS is 42.9.  I need to do it for Rig #1 just to compare to two GTX 980 Classifieds.

For Rig #1, the X58 system with two GTX 980 Classifieds in SLI on a 4K monitor.  Idle temp is 32C for one card and 38C for the other.  Running through Heaven temps got up to 56C and 64C.  Average FPS is 35.7.  Not bad for an old X58 system.

Thanks. I thought you already had a 5930k. Cash saved will be going towards a 4k 144Hz g-sync screen.

Wow. How'd you score that?

Regarding the 144hz g-sync 4K monitor, I'm totally looking forward to that too. I may have to wait a little after they come out because I'm pretty sure they'll be very spendy when they do come out, but maybe I can save up for it.

I also wouldn't mind it if it were a little larger than my current 60hz 4K monitor, which is 28". It's awesome, of course, and was a fantastic upgrade from my 24" 1920x1200 monitor, but the only problem, if it's even a problem, is that it's just so high resolution I think some of it is going to waste with such high ppi. I think 30 or 32" 144hz g-sync 4K monitor would be the perfect solution.

I'd also like to see a HTC Vive 2.0 come out.
