Hi,
So, when I first read all these post and began investigating I was very disappointed. I didn’t have time to really look into the issue etc, but it seemed to be quite gloomy.

I also was reasonably sceptical regarding EVGA’s statement about optional modifications that are not required for various reasons (which I won’t go into here as its been bashed to death).

So, my temp sensor arrived today:
http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/temperature-sensor-in--outer-thread-G14-with-Display-blue_18286.html
Same as this but without the G ¼ thread fitting.

Now whilst I know this is a very rudimentary sensing kit it wouldn’t be way out there, it would at least give some indication on any major problems.
So, I attached the sensor to the top plate by tucking it under the V of EVGA the top left of it.

Ran DX11 heaven at 1440p ultra everything x8 AA, no Vsync ofc.
GPU Temp using HWinfo and Px was around 63-4°C. I have an aggressive fan probably very similar to the updated BIOS.
The sensor read around 53°C so I thought hmm ok push harder.

I ran battlefront on max everything upscaled to 8k (it was very cinematic) had around 22 to 16 FPS mostly 15-16 for around 30 minutes.
Now whilst the fan did ramp up to 2150 RPM on the hardware monitor most of the time it was around 2090 RPM with my curve.
The temp sensor well that only read and seemed to settle around 61.8°C. GPU 68-9°C

For what it’s worth I now can’t help but agree with EVGA and apologise for any post I made stating the opposite.
You could argue with my test methodology certainly it’s not entirely robust by any means but if there was a problem it would have been more apparent than the results I got.

Yes, I could have run fur mark etc. for 2 hours but I don’t really see the point, I don’t play fur mark.
I will move the sensor around the back plate maybes attach it by thermal conductive materials here and there but I don’t really expect to see and further significant results.
Just my input. I’m satisfied now the entire thing and I agree this just seems to have been blown out of all proportions.

Kudos to EVGA and the staff dealing with this the last week or so. Would certainly buy EVGA again.

Virus based benchmarks have always made me feel uneasy and I wouldn't dream of using furmark either.
EVGA and there affiliated support should of handled this better. The CEO apologising by saying "we messed up", raises a few questions, especially when there are so many comments that are saying there is no real issue and the pads are simply an upgrade for better temps!
The BS100% issue was a bigger concern for me, but they have openly responded and rectified with new batches.

I would be more worried about your Hue+
