Evga used to make this real simple with a link called "request blue ribbon"... How do you do it now?

Thanks... I guess we report the post now... Sounds like a bad thing to select. I would have never thought, but it works. EDIT: Hold on... There is only a "report abuse" selection... Come on EVGA.

Is it the new version of the forums that no longer allows for a "request blue ribbon" option? It used to be real simple and straightforward when I first joined.

IDK, I always thought members should report abuse for when members are too generous with their time, knowledge, and spirit. Members really shouldn't be that helpful. We shame those members by affixing a large and shiny blue ribbon under their avatar to show the rest of the forum who goes out of their way to try and make the forum a better place. We even give them a couple of EVGA bucks to try to buy off those members to quit spending so much time improving the forum (TBH, I don't think it's working, though). We can't be having that, or people will think we actually encourage that kind of behavior. No way, no how.

In addition if anyone wants their request for a BR for another member to be handled in private then you're welcome to PM any available mod except Xray as Nordic said Xray is too sexy for PMs.

Too bad it is still broken on mobile devices and it is impossible to report posts no matter which theme you use while using a mobile device.

Yes, that thread can also be used, as well as the "Report Post" button. The "Report Post" can be used for reporting problems, as well as asking for a BR. Using the ticket system through the "Report Post" button is my preferred way to handle these things. Also, report those Kitchen spammers more quickly. Try to do it under a minute, and I will be impressed.

Maybe it's because the button has been being abused?

Given the historically low number of reported tickets over the last 6 months or so, I can assure you that's not it.

If the decrease in tickets is proportional to a decrease in the number of problems or issues on the forum, then yes. But it also means people aren't reporting posts for blue ribbons. It's just something to keep in mind the next time someone states that mods aren't dealing with members or problems. We'd rather members err on the side of reporting borderline posts than not reporting them at all. Likewise, we do like to review posts to hand out blue ribbons.
