Gold Leader heh no worries man That only goes for the desktop market that Intel has the upper hand, however that will change once their new Bulldozer FX series arrive, they already have a world record in their hands with the world's highest OC with LN2 @ 8.49Ghz .. stable http://www.amd.com/us/pre...worlds-2011sept13.aspx The AMD FX CPU, set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2011, achieved a top speed of 8.429 GHz, surpassing the previous record of 8.308 GHz. The record was set on Aug. 31, 2011, in Austin, Texas, by “Team AMD FX,” a group comprised of elite overclocking specialists working alongside top AMD technologists, who will also be named in the Guinness World Records. As Opterons g this is where AMD has a head lead over Intel, the world's fastest Supercomputers use Opteron CPUs due to the much lower TDP's and better Performance per watt and performance per Node, that being that each CPU has 16 Cores, in SMP land real cores always do more than fake cores do, where HT leads to. Hyper Threading is not practical it's nice to see Intel systems with 8 threads but it's embarrassing that they only have 4 real cores. If I'd want 8 threads I'd take a real 8 core or dual 4 core setup instead ;) But hey we all have our differences this way , I just love this place due to all the great case modding idea's the Mods Rigs section is my favorite section, so many cool stuff, everyone is creative here @ 2CPU.com we don't care if someone fans Intel or AMD or both, it's just that; as long you are satisfied on what you have, then everything should be okay right i actually read that story the other day!.. when that CPU comes out i know that AMD will get in business for sure! :D yea :).. i don't blame anyone for taking the AMD way :).. and yea, if anyone should be satisfied with ones hardware it is one self! :)
