I'd say that's pretty good for $20, i'm paying $92-ish a month for Comcast HDTV and internet, haven't used speedtest but my Killer NIC xeno thing says 31MB/s Down, 7MB/s up. I'll try speed test when i get off work...

I did it 4 times and got 4 different results, either way not too great. I should try it earlier in the day and later in the day just to see the differences.

Supposedly they offer up to 10Mbps service but my house is incapable of such speeds because it's on the end of the circuit or some BS like that. That's what they told me at least.

Call it false advertisement here, if someone could enlighten me how this internet connection speed really works in Cable Terms. The reason i ask from that 20.89mbps which i believe should convert to about a little over 2.5MB/s download rate i really only download at about 1.5MB/s

The reason i ask from that 20.89mbps which i believe should convert to about a little over 2.5MB/s download rate i really only download at about 1.5MB/s Well matey, its mostly because of the uploader. Most people as you may see have a much faster download rate than upload. Programs like Steam should download a lot faster for you though than 1.5mbps. Especially with your connection. The advertised price is the max that you are able to get. meaning if no one else is using the internet on your circuit....you should get 20 or even higher. So, i have a 15mbps connection but only really get 10 tops. And it converts to higher than that. I have a 15mbit conn (speedtest always says 6-10) and i get under 2mbps if the uploaders are good. usually 800kbps to 1.5mbps though.

To convert from Mbps to MBps just divide the Mbps by 8 because there's 8 bits in a byte. Mbps/8 = MBps
