You know when the food is good when the dinner table is quite and I liken this game to good food definitely a pleasant experience so far. Isn't it nice to see the boards quit for a change at a launch? Is it better than BC2? .... Maybe not but, maybe, time will tell all.

I still have high hopes for BF3 and a free beta to prove it but, it had better be good cause HF has set a new standards. With all it's short comings the good far out weighs the bad by a mile. Kudos to THQ KAOS and EA.

As it stands right now I have 5 hrs in with SP (normal) and maybe 3 hrs MP. I'm not even half way through SP yet. Maybe I'm not that good of a player but they did not skimp in any way shape or form. For sgl player fans you will be entertained for sure. Is it perfect without imperfection? ,,, No but, the AI is impressive, also setting new standards that is better IMO than most recent offerings. Do I hear 2033? The production values are very good too and the story line tears at your emotions, add to that the plausibility factor, now that's entertainment. Your screen is bright and alive nothing hidden by black back grounds and narrow focused tunnels of play. All that makes it easier for devs and artist to create a game but what HF has done here is wide in it scope again suggesting they didn't cheap out in any way. Could it be better?.... yes Would I like to see better destruction etc?....  yes. Did they take on a challenge that few have and do it well? You be the judge I think so.  Is it worth 50 bucks? ... when you consider the competition.... absolutely!

MP is in need of refinements. what game isn't but what I've seen so far I like. Even with my style of game paly which, is usually on the negative side of the K/D ratio I've been able to level up nicely. I'm more of a team player who focuses on objectives not my own stats, call it a fault if you will but I see a game that is rewarding me for that effort which is all goo IMO. I'd like to see medics and no snipes for an change but what they've done to balance the game again is quit impressive.  No more unlimited supply of RPGs and frags you have to earn it and be productive with it or you run out quickly that alone it a great improvement in term od leveling the playing field. Snipers might seem over powered, hit boxes may seem large and damage may seem quick and at times, instant but isn't that more real life. Bullets kill people daaaa or at least knock them down.  Roaming on the battlefield is way less than if you had a nano suit but isn't that also more real world?  Tactically speaking you have to adhere to common battlefield practices or you will die that's real. Taking cover and using the terrain is a way of life in the real world and HF so for all you sniper haters I say head over to Army.gov and get a tactical field manual to read up, educate your self and learn to play as a team/squad. No battle is won by any individual no matter how good they are. This is not a run and gun although it has an arcade style and feel at times but all that screen pop up stuff can be turned off actually fine tuned where you can pick and choose your warnings/messages, see your menu options. Speaking of which there are a plethora of option to customize the game. Will some be disappointed?.... Are there glitches where everything isn't working properly yet? ... of course but overall I like what they are attempting to do and refinements will follow. i.e the game browser where you can directly input the server id and a console. Have I added a friend yet and does it work properly? I'm not sure yet does it save favorites? it remains to be seen. One thing for sure the infrastructure is there and on a wider scope than previous offerings for a control freak it all seems to be at hand. So if you ask me the future is bright and THQ is setting the bar for for all of our expectations. This is what I want to see, advances, new stuff, toys if you will that make my investment worth while. Again the game isn't perfect, graphic's aren't the very best but what they did do well is pull off a launch with very little glitches from install to game play to no stuttering no lag on servers no firewall or connection issues and they did it without using it's base as a Ginnie pig with a beta/demo just load and play. Now that's impressive again setting the bar high you got to love that. I go back to that quiet dinner table as proof it's all good the chatter is low and this game rocks See ya on the battlefield ;)

It's also nice that there's already devs in the forums asking me about my performance troubles. They're talking patches already.

Im VERY hesitant on buying this. I think if a demo was available before launch, that would have been best, but ATM im not buying it. Ive read to much negative on it, and it was a bummer too since from day 1 of finding out about the game, im wanted to see more.

Has anyone tried the Battle Commander mode yet? I love that. I got three stars in my first episode with it in a vehicle and had the whole board after after me and my squad mate to take us down talk about a rush,  it's killer........

I like the game modes and everything, dont like how it looks. reminds me of COD4 with MW2 guns. The RC mini tank thing is wicked overpowered if they use the perks for it.  - Im blaming black ops for the r/c thing.

Also When using iron sights you think there would be a focus point somewhere but it just turns everything alittle blurry. maybe its just me idk. Anyone else see that? i mean you can clearly see what your shooting at. just the detail drops like 300% of everything.

Also, IM SO HAPPY I GET TO HAVE PRONE BACK <333

I also agree with this review I am really having a good time with this game. I haven't played the SP yet but the MP is run, I like the fact that you can go pron again. The only thing that sucks about it is that I'm not used to looking for pron players anymore they just come out of know where and kill me.  I will be on tonight after I install my new card and motherboard.

Well I like to hear peoples honest opinions good or bad. Pretty good review OC, I prefer the team play style versus stat hoe's myself. Sounds pretty good so far, I'm sure there are a few bugs. Kaos will hopefully work those out. The R/C they had in FFOW , it was fun to me. Now I'm gonna have to give Homefront a try. It's also good to hear the lag is low/absent. What matters most to me is MP ,and it sounds like it is.

You can't blame blackoops for it, the developer for Homefront carried over the RC vehicles from FrontLine Fuel of War.

HomeFront could use some more polishing. The server browser has a few bugs and missing features.
The game is fun to play and its easy to fly air vehicles.
