Howdy! Just noticed that my laptop's hinge is making a slight squeaking sound when I open or close the lid. It's not very severe and the lid seems to be stable after opening, but the sound is definitely there. Just curious if this is normal. Anyone who can help please!

    Normal, no
I read somewhere that using waxed dental floss and gently sliding it between the hinge and the case, right where the two parts come in contact and move it back and forth just as you would with your teeth, make sure you get inside the thin space between, finally open and close the lid a few times for the wax to properly work itself around.

I saw it as well, most people use wd40. The problem is I don't know where to apply the lubricant as the hinge is hidden under the screen, the bottom side of the laptop seems to be fully sealed.

Just contacted support, they said it's probably a bad hinge. Just sent the photos and video and am waiting for the reply from tech support. It's kind of frustrated as this is a repaired machine. My original sc17 1070 had a cluster of dead pixels on arrival, had to sent in for repair on day one. This guy lasted few days, then the hinge issue popped up. Not sure how to describe my feelings right now......
