As Bill_1024 has in his signature about a "pocketknife", life is too short to worry about a $10 rebate.
Can't disagree really..but I just voice my displeasure about them...would rather they just discount the cost 10 bucks...don't want to have to mail anything in.

hm...a highly debatable thread and I understand your frustration  There are a lot of good points here. I personally don't like them but as candle_86 said, and I agree; 10 bucks ain't worth the (my) time. I'm just happy with the product I get from EVGA.

interesting how donnie is sweating over the $10 as if he had designed the tacoma narrows bridge. as an engineer, he probly pulls in $50K+ and lets $10 be a thorn in his side. my time is worth more than the operation to prepare and mail in the rebate form and then wait anxiously for it in the mail. but, to each his own. my question is, does donnie buy lotto tickets.

Just got two EVGA rebates approved today for my 970's I bought a few weeks back...  If everything is submitted properly, it shouldn't be an issue. I also scotch tape the barcode(s) to the rebate form. It's to easy for them to get lost if left loose.

The only thing I don't like about Mail-in-rebates is the click-bait aspect some people use to advertise the price. Not all do it but I hate when its like a super awesome price then it says ''after MIR''.
I mailed out my 980SC one and haven't heard back anything in over 3 weeks it doesn't even show it was received so I mailed out another rebate sheet and invoice..but without the UPC obviously because its gone. So we'll see if they deny me or not the woman on the phone told me to just send what I could.

yea the biggest reason I don't buy tigerdirect is everything is rebate hate rebates the coupon codes like newegg does are great I have bypassed many idems due to rebate I have done a lot of rebates in the pass like others said its jumping threw hoops for a couple bucks  i'm not rich either always can use extra but its a pain!!!

Agreed, MIR's are generally a BS rip-off and companies know it. 5, 10, 20 bucks or so isn't that much to most people but when it's thousands or even millions of people it adds up to serious money. EVGA could do better than that and just get rid of them.

There is something wrong with setting up a gimmick that can easily screw your customers. Let's try this: how about a GPU or mobo is say $250., and the customer can pay $240. but pay the other $10. in 3-6 months or whatever the time limit is? But only if the mfg. can show a UPC that matches the unit purchased and a receipt of the initial payment, etc? Yep. The mfg's would howl that it's unfair and unnecessary.

Rebates in the end are a sham. I've sent them in never even got em back or a reason as to why, EVGA or not I HATE rebates and usually if I buy something I don't even bother with them because of the hassle. For example, I sent two in months ago when I got a motherboard (ASUS) And a case (some crap brand) not response or reply, no we received it and something is missing, nothing. Totals to 20 bux but I have bigger things in life to worry about than trying to spend hours on phone calls finding out what the.... I've even had an EVGA rebate go missing, No bar code missing no nothing, Just gone.
